MT:
Please I need a head start as I just got a grip to start this process. Please can someone respond to these questions:

1. Do I need to do WES and IELTS before starting any of the process?

2. Do I need to pay WES for each of my credential to be evaluated. For instance, I have HND Computer Science, Bsc from a University in UK , PMP and Microsoft Certifications. I am a Software Developer.

3. I am over 40 but if I want to boost my score via pronvincial nomination, what do I have to do? Do I apply to each of the provinces as the first step or after 1 and 2 stated above, I can now commence.

I hope someone will pick this up to be addressed. Thank you.

If you are over 40, then provincial nomination is your only option right now. I’m assuming you’re married.

You have two or more degrees. WES will evaluate your HND and BSC at the same price ($200+) , there’s no cost for additional documents at this stage.

Before you spend money on WES and IELTS, spend time on the provincial nomination thread. Reading, asking questions etc, and see what province will be in demand for your NOC or if you have a family member in those provinces that allow nomination. The selection process and requirements are different for each province and may vary over time.

After doing this, you can now talk about WES and IELTS.

Hello bro, please let's connect, have been sending you messages. I want you to help with the documents/pro essay you followed for your sponsorship.

Raconteur14:
It's been a long while I have been here. Decided to share my PPR story even though I didn't get it through express entry.

May 2017- Wrote IELTS for the first time and passed. (Just expired last week).

July 2017 - Got the result of my ECA assessment from WES.

July 2017 - Dived into the pool with a total score of 466.

August 2 2017 - Got an ITA as lowest CRS was 441.

August 9 2017- CRS was 433.

After due consultation on this forum, I realised I had wrongly put a certification that I had not assessed with my ECA. I was advised to remove the certification and revert to my 433 scores since it would be sufficient to get an ITA since the last draw on August 9 was 433.

August 23 2017- CRS was 434

September 6 2017- CRS was 435

September 14 2017- Celebrated my birthday and lost 6 points. My CRS dropped to 427

September 20 2017 - CRS was 433.

The rest as they say is history. CRS never dropped again to levels achieved in 2017.

I was sad, cursed my luck and was unhappy. I continued with my masters program in Unilag, hoping to finish by the end of 2018 so that I could get the extra 40 marks for masters. As I type this, while I am done with my course work, I'm yet to defend my project, talk less of results or certificate.

January 2019 - I got married to my girlfriend who was a PR.

January 2019 - I got a new job.

February 27 2019 - Submitted my sponsorship application (Average time of processing is one year)

March 2019- I did my biometrics.

May 16 2019- I got an e-mail that I was eligible for pre-arrival services.

May 16 2019- I got another e-mail to go and do my medicals. I was so excited about this that I was bubbling up and down. People usually do medicals 6 months or more after the application has been submitted.

May 16 2019- I got yet another e-mail from Accra Immigration notifying me that my Visa was ready. So is my COPR. I had just gotten the PPR email. I was behind myself with so much joy and I still can't believe it. But God did it.

I share this to encourage someone. Be patient, keep at it and God would bring your own testimony for you.

I couldn't keep up with the thread from Part 3 because my situation wasn't changing. I am pretty sure that people we started together then are well settled in Canada now. But I am just so glad that God showed up for me this way. It's only him!

Tanks. But will i have to go to WAEC office or how do the package go. And also when filling my details on WES website, about my mailing add, can i fill Canadian add since i have relative or it must be my Nigeria add.

1. Yes or No. You can go to WAEC office, Yaba if you've the time. Or you can send someone to do it on your behalf if you're not in Lagos. Or you can PM me for a contact in WAEC that can help you.

2. You can use Canadian or Nigerian address. It doesnt matter. What matters is that when your ECA is ready, WES will upload it on your account for you to download. That softcopy is all that you need.

Hello house. Congratulations to all POE clinchers. I just got my result today and I had LRWS 8.5, 6.5, 7, 8. I am so confused about this reading result.
Please has anyone done remark for reading and does it change. Thanks so I can know what to do.

Apply for the remark with faith, anything can happen. Last month I applied for remark for both reading and writing, I had 7.0 in reading and 6.5 in writing, writing was obviously the problem, but I was surprised at the reading result too so I ticked both, funny enough when the EOR came back the score for reading improved while that of writing remained same (too bad for me), there have also been other cases of people who their reading score improved after EOR, just apply for the remark, anything can happen.

i have an issue with my ECA report from WES, they said and i quote " unilag indicates the DOB as 98 " whereas my DOB is 78. Figures are for referencing only.
what do i do.
Do i use the report as such and indicate the mistake in LOE?
or do i Send Unilag a mail to correct the mistake and revert to WES?

Congrats to those who have gotten PPR and aced IELTS in this part.

Good morning house,we may have friends /colleagues who have issues with WAEC verification ;this is a simple way to do it : Ask the person to buy a WAEC scratch card, then go on WAEC website to view his result. He should then save his result in PDF format and scan to WES via Hellofax (same way certificates are sent).Importantly,he should download the WAEC verification form on his profile (via WES website) and fill same by inputting the scratch card pin/details on the form .WES will use that to verify and his WAEC will be acknowledged within few days. He needs not to pay a dime to anyone. I hope this will be helpful to someone.

Hi, please this should be after mailing the confirmation of result from WAEC right?
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 8 by amaya21: 6:46pm On May 28, 2019
Hi, please check page 1 for the CRS calculator.

You have to get in touch with your school - they may need to do verification with WES.

Are you sure WES requested SSCE? Why are you evaluating that? I thought they only ask for WAEC or NECO with a first degree (for Nigerian degrees)?

Doyindre:

Thank you so much amaya21. How can I simulate my CRS?. I just finished my course work. If ASUU will let it, I should be done with masters soon.

And also, if started my WES over four months now. It’s just at pending waiting for the school to reply. What should I do about that?

When I sent my btech transcript, I included a photocopy of my SSCE and the scratch card. Now it says, scratch card accepted on my profile but the SSCE was rejected. What should I do? Can I just evaluate the BTech and leave the SSCE?

Thanks in anticipation

Lol, and who is shooting herself in the foot. Did I mention you are to pay money anywhere? I assisted a friend last week following this process and it was accepted. Please if my post isn't useful to you, you can skip it.The process of using Hellofax to send certificates to WES was initiated by someone and today, almost everyone uses it. Just don't attack me or are you one of those agents collecting money from people to send their WAEC to WES ?

No one is really attacking anyone, can you explain the process better? Do you mean that your friend didn't have to go to WAEC to get the official confirmation of result at all? Or is the information you sent through Hellofax only for confirmation, after he sent the office results from WAEC.
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 8 by ans123: 6:56pm On May 28, 2019
Hey you are not supposed to send it by yourself. You should go to WAEC office at yaba to do that. Search the thread on how to send WAEC results to WES for verification.

Hi! Are you a single applicant? If you have a spouse, points from their IELTS and ECA (evaluation) can help boost your score. Please check your score here.

1. I suggest you start with your evaluation as this typically is a time consuming process. Prepare and write the IELTS as you wait.
2. Nope. One payment should handle everything.
3. This is what I found for PNP

As long as your JD matches well with your chosen NOC, then you're fine. Under 1211, I do not see contact centre supervisor listed as an exclusion though. Or is your example hypothetical?

Thank you so much! I had a panic attack mixing the noc up earlier.
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 8 by Stencil: 7:38pm On May 28, 2019
I once spoke to Kubeir of "Ask Kubeir" and he said the title doesn't really matter. Your title can be President of the USA but your job description is what they pay attention to.
Is there a way to adjust/reword your title a little bit? since you mentioned an exclusion.

Ameeria:
Good morning elders, please does it matter if I use a noc with almost all the job description but the title which was stated as an exclusion matched. Eg, JD of 1211 match but they said excluding contact centre supervisor but my title was contact centre supervisor. Will that be a problem even with EOE explaining how titles work in the org?

1. Nope. You've crossed the red sea, don't look back.
2. Volunteers are typically not paid so you might want to shy away from using that word in your reference letter and on your profile.

Good morning. Please I have a few questions to ask.
I already have my HND n ND evaluated by WES, but i read somewhere here that some persons were evaluating their WAEC. Do I have to do that? Secondly, i haven't really worked b4 but I've been engaged in a paid volunteer job for 2 years plus now. Can that serve as work experience for me?
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 8 by Stencil: 7:44pm On May 28, 2019
The best way to know where you stand is to calculate your CRS score here.

Doyindre:
Hello everyone,
I’m ready to embark on my immigration journey. So I took IELTS and I got LRWS 7.5,8.0,6.5,7.0. I have my Btech in computer science as my highest qualification right now, but currently doing my MSc program. I clocked 25 May 26, 2019. From what I’ve read here I can use my NYSC worm experience. My spouse has an uncle in Manitoba which gives us a connection to Canada. I feel I’m 0.5 short with my IELTS score but hoping the connection to Manitoba can stand in for this and increase my CRS.
Please I want to know if this could help me before applying for my express entry. Thanks

Please house, my place of birth on Intl Passport is different from my birth certificate. I do have birth certificate and I understand that should supersede.

And yes, I’ll be required to upload birth certificate under PNP (SINP requires uploading birth certificate).

My question is, is LOE sufficient or I’ll need sworn affidavit to correct the mistake?

To correct the mistake on Intl Passport, it will require going to Abuja.

Please, your response will be appreciated.
