stinflame:The bolded is not true, if it's true he wouldn't have insulted Orji Uzo Kalu who said that Igbos shouldn't have gone to war. Which I attached below. https://allafrica.com/stories/200309220306.html Infant, his children accused Nnamdi kanu for sidelining them when Biafran agitation was hot.. See another link below.. If they were treated unfairly, they would despise anything Biafra or Igbo. https://www.nairaland.com/3909099/biafra-what-nnamdi-kanu-not |

CyynthiaKiss:Well said then.. Do well to read how minority were treated during the biafria war most especially the calabars. |

stinflame:If Calabars were treated wrongly, they wouldn't have stood by Igbos till the end of the war.. Infant Akwa Cross are naturally ally to Igbos hence the current Inter marriage among the masses even their elites.. I don't want to start mentioning the popular politicians you know that married from both sides of the region. Look at the map of Akwa Ibom and Abia, then Ebinyi and Cross River.. Abia people are closer to Akwa Ibom than to Ebinyi and Enugu. Ken and his Ogoni people who decided to dine with the devil during the war paid with his life .. After sabotaging Biafra with the intention of controlling his oil, he fell from frying pan to fire and was killed by the same people that he allinged to fight Igbos.. Funny enough that same Igbos he fought against were the ones that led a heavy protest in Diaspora against his planned execution because Igbos are many in diaspora, yet they still executed him... Maybe Igbos threw their weight behind him probably because he realised his mistake on time , hence coming back by attending Ohaneze meeting in Enugu for support and mending of broken bridges those days Now, coming to issue of how minorities were treated... Minorities were not treated wrongly because during that era, Eastern region was receiving 53 percent and inclusive government was ran. Infact, a minority was the head of Eastern region which was dominated by Igbos before Akanu Ibiaam came on board after independence. Even the head of house of Chiefs then was from a minority tribe.. He became the head where almighty Obi of Onisha was present yet heaven did not fall. Everybody received a better treatment during the old Eastern region. The reason why it seems like some people were not included was because our independence was still new, development was still spreading to all corners before the civil war struck. Infact not only some minorities complained about not getting satisfied during that time , the current Ebonyi people today also complained that's why one Ebonyi commissioner was seen on channels TV saying that Ebonyi won't join the old Eastern region again during that period restructuring was on everybody's lips. (I will search for the video so that you can watch it).. Anybody that is telling you that Igbos marginilized him is either being Mischievous or stupid or to justify his Igbophibia. Now what they are getting is ordinary 13 percent while Igbos are still benefiting from the same oil.. Now who is foolish ? Look at their environment, it's not worth discussing. Remember that Enugu people used to boast about coal like some Niger Delta militants are currently boasting with oil until coal became useless. But the good thing about Enugu is that they used their recourses very well hence having the best planned city and developed and beautiful environment .. Despite the fact Enugu stopped being the capital for close to half century (50) yrs ago, Enugu was listed among the top 100 most resilient cities alongside with Paris. Now if Oil becomes worthless like coal which is inevitable (25 yrs time ), what would be the fate of Niger Delta? Land for agriculture is highly polluted. No tangible infrastructure. ..What would be their fate ? I have a lot to type.. But my fingers are paining me.. You said I should read how minorities were treated but you refused to tell me how and when and by who ? |

godliman:You don't write off a person based on a singular action because of our human nature to err. Yes you are right that someone of his caliber shouldn't film his sexual activities with his wife even if his wife pressures him to do so. The truth you don't understand about this struggle is that, there is a Spirit behind the struggle that raises people to play each part in the separation of Biafra from Nigeria. First it was Uwazuruike of Massob whom the Spirit used to unite the various ethnic groups of the defunct Eastern Region and gave them a voice within Nigeria. Secondly was Ben Onwuka of BZM who talked about Zionizing the Biafran struggle which influence guys like Kanu to take Zionism & Judaism very serious. Thirdly is now Kanu of IPOB who internationalized Biafra and tries to extend Biafra's frontiers to the Middle Belt and defunct MidWest. Will There Be Another Leader To Take It To The Next Level.? No one knows but time will tell even though signs show that the Spirit behind Biafra has chosen someone else to take it to the next level if Kanu fails to do so just as Uwazuruike failed to take it to the next level. My Candid Advice To You Is That You Pray More For Clarity & Direction Than Run Down The Leadership Stirred Up By The Spirit To Stop The Islamization Of Our Christian Regions Won By The Blood, Sweats, Tears and Prayers Of European Missionaries. How Did I Know About The Spirit.? About 10 years ago, the Spirit of God gave me physical evidence that there is a plan to wipe out Christianity and that God will rather free Biafrans and other Christian regions than lose them to Islam. Hope you now understand why Kanu was calling on the Christian North to join Biafra.? The video of Kanu's bedroom activity might be the Spirit passing a message that Kanu's role is finished and another leader is about to be chosen. @ CyynthiaKiss take note & bookmark for record purpose. |

It is really funny how this post has degenerated to Biafran war and unnecessary antagonism. We have fought Biafran war and it has ended, but the problem with Nigeria persists. Why? Because we like lies and are self loathing. Nigeria is a simple organization, A Britsh till pot operated through the Fulani. How were we rendered so uncoordinated and defenseless. Divide and conquer. The different people in Nigeria were brought together for the purposes of the British through their Fulani middle men. Unless we realise this and fight it, we are going nowhere. Yes, the Igbos are angry and hurt. Yes the middle Belt do not feel any need to apologize, it was sweet reaction to the over bearing Igbos. Truth is, if Nigerians do not come together now and solve their real and immediate existential problem, then these petty jealousies will be their end. For clarity, I do not think Igbos and Middle Belt should form a country. It is not need nor necessary. However, all Nigerians need to close ranks now to survive |

I like you submission here. You at least is looking dispassionately at the Nigerian problem and proffering a solution devoid of the usual insults, emotional blackmail and blame game, employed by both sides of the divide. naijaseeker:The Biafran war has ended but it seems the animosity generated as a result has not ended. The igbos seem still hurt at the death of 3 million people and the alleged betrayal by other southern tribes, especially the Yorubas. The Fulanis are also still angry that the igbos killed most of their military and political leaders while sparing their own, in a bid to take control of Nigeria. The other Southern tribes are angry that the Igbos dragged them into a war, that does not concern them. So you see there is anger everywhere. And IPOB is using this anger to rev up the emotion of the frustrated youth. If things get out of control and another war breaks out, the genocide on all sides this time will be unrivalled in the annals of human history. Nigeria is a simple organization, A Britsh till pot operated through the Fulani. How were we rendered so uncoordinated and defenseless. Divide and conquer. As I said earlier, Nigerian experience is not unique. That how Britain ruled it's colonies. Since, the British were not ready to actually set up colonies in Nigeria like they did in Southern Africa. They looked for a more pliant and controllable tribe to use to carry out their objectives, and the Fulani homogeny fit into their needs. The southern tribes were too rebellious and disunited. The US also had similar problems, they avoided the booby traps by jettisoning the British imposed constitution and fashioned their own according to their own terms. |

wirinet:You are very right. The truth is, there is really nothing very unique about Nigeria still we manage to always get things wrong. However, I have to differ with you. There was really no need to mention IPOB. Any sincere person will know that IPOB was never nor is, any real issue to the modern Nigeria with real problems. At the worst, they are demanding for a referendum on continued Igbo inclusion in Nigeria. With the reality of divisions in Nigeria currently, this is a very fair demand. Couple this with the reality that the Nigerian government has failed over and over to truly protect its different ethnic groups from the menace of external Fulanis. The only way we can get things right is, if we develop a really workable system and this needs a serious restructuring. Many countries designed strategic institutions or checks, however we simply fail to do this. One major problem, the Northern/Fulani elites who has being ruling Nigeria. The North try very hard to sell a line that there is simply the elites and the masses, yet they refuse to demand what everyone in the South is demanding. Restructuring. Without sincere sit down discussion and changes, we will not move anywhere. There are serious issues and if I mention just one, it will be obvious how disunited we are. Some people assume a glorious single destiny for Nigeria. I do not. It does not make sense, one because of Biafra. Biafra is a very thorny divisive issue in Nigeria. Another, indigenous peoples and settlers. People everywhere claim a right to existent and non-existent cultural rights, these has happened the development a united modern Nigeria. Again, a united modern Nigeria should not be assumed to be a desirable Nirvana. It is just one of the options. However, the need for all Nigerians to unite against a very deadly existential threat should for pragmatic purposes put everything in a back burner. The upheavals in the Sahel is real and Fulani pressure on Nigeria is increasing and getting deadlier everyday. This is compounded because there are indigenous Fulanis in Nigeria and these set are evidently conflicted whether to identify with Nigeria or with their foreign kin. |

naijaseeker:The unique thing with Nigeria is its people. And I believe that the weak point in the evolution of a modern society is its people. We as a people have not evolved beyond the elevation of personal interest and at most clan interest above bigger ideals of national or wider interests. Personally, I do not believe its the system. Yes the system is bad, and I confess very bad, but the nature of human beings is that the best usually come out of very bad situations. If the people are determined, sincere and focused, no system can put them down. That the Fulanis question is a problem with Nigeria is not new, remember a group of middle ranking middle belt soldiers trying to do something about it by planing a coup and attempted to excise Fulani states from Nigeria. The problem I have with IPOB is that their reason for secession is hatred of not just Fulanis, but also of other tribes of which help they would need if they are to succeed. The insults of all other tribes have alienated not just IPOB but even igbos in general, which to me is very sad. Look, they played straight into the hands of the Fulanis they are supposed to be fighting. If you are a bit discerning, you will see that the core igbos are being successfully isolated not just from other southerners but from other igboid tribes. If you look well, you will see that key appointments go to igboid tribes and not core Igbos. These people are being encouraged to deny their Igboness and IPOB and their supporters are not helping matters. The core igbos should court people like Amaechi, Secondus, Wike, Emiefele, etc, but are they? The only way we can get things right is, if we develop a really workable system and this needs a serious restructuring. Many countries designed strategic institutions or checks, however we simply fail to do this. One major problem, the Northern/Fulani elites who has being ruling Nigeria. The North try very hard to sell a line that there is simply the elites and the masses, yet they refuse to demand what everyone in the South is demanding. Restructuring. Without sincere sit down discussion and changes, we will not move anywhere. There are serious issues and if I mention just one, it will be obvious how disunited we are.Apart from the religious and tribal divide, there is a serious class divide in Nigeria. The elites as a class are United in their suppression and oppression of the poor masses. This is visible from the south to the north, from the west to the east. There are very and I say very few voices that speaks for the poor. This is the reason I respect Lamido Sanusi a lot ( who ironically is part of the feudal northern elite). Even though he has his flaws, he seems to be the only one that actually speaks and shoes concerns for the excruciating poverty in the north. You see how the northern elites have gathered to destroy him. I doubt he will survive their onslaught. Others I had admired in the past with similar traits were Tai Solarin, Gani Fawehinmi, Ken Saro wiwa, and a very few others. Finally, the battle to me should be on the political and intellectual plane, and not on the emotional and threats levels. My role model today is Emmanuel Macron, he was dissatisfied with his party, which was the main party, he resigned, formed his own party, sold his ideas and won the elections against well established parties. That's how to sell ideas. |

the fact of the matter is that the real reason why the fulani junta shifted the democracy day from the 29th of May to the 12th of June is because of the successful carrying out of the 30th May biafra heroes day under the auspices of ipob over the years!!! oh yes, you didn't know?! ipob is the only bone in the neck of the british-fulani owners of the zoo corporation and the rest of the wahala like boko (money spinner for the military-industrial complex), militants (easily settled with pipeline contracts), bandits (the new boko), kidnappers, ritualists, murderers, armed robbers, unemployment, poor healthcare, poor road network, hunger, mother/infant mortality, lowest electricity generation in recent years etc no dey even see ipob back when it comes to the level of seriousness with which the british-fulani overlords of the zoo take the issue!!! I am so proud of MNK and his men in what they have managed to achieve in such a small space of time!!! if you seriously think that britain was not consulted before the democracy day was shifted from the 29th to the 12th by the fulani mafia, then you are just a pillock in zoogerian politics!!! just look at how unwieldy the whole caboodle is set up to be now!!! what exactly are the leaders of the foreign nations (should we believe what is coming out of aso rock) coming to the shiithole to do on the 12th?! to attend a wasteful government's extravaganza when those civilized governments know for sure that the zoo is the center of poverty on earth and that the fulani towel heads in government should have done a low key event on the 29th and gone to work straightaway in tackling the multifarious challenges her embattled citizens are encountering?! so for the next 2 weeks pressing matters of state would be kept on the back burner as this most unserious government goes about planning a carnival of sorts in order to get the whole world to legitimize their brazen criminality?! guys, ipob's sit at home successful implementation over the years is the ONLY reason the date was changed because the british-fulani hegemony could no longer bear to have a successful sit at home coming a day after they just had a renewal of their contract to keep siphoning niger delta oil free of charge!!! the buy-in to the sit at home by our eastern neighbours is on the ascendancy and other contiguous regions to the east would soon come all out to declare their unalloyed support!!! the british-fulani hegemony know that zoogeria is in its death throes and all these their last minute panicky counter-measures to forestall the tearing up of the zoo are futile!!! biafra heroes day has come to stay and the memories of ALL those killed by the british-fulani imperialists shall NEVER be forgotten!!! freedom is at the door my people!!! let us just hold on a little more in patience!!! biafra shall NEVER EVER die!!! the international interventionist invaders are soon coming to the shiithole to tear zoogeria to pieces and we, the great easterners, are SOO gone from the shiithole ASAP, AMEN!!! |

wirinet:With due respect, I think I have to clarify you on certain things. Clearly you are not Igbo therefore it will be difficult for you to understand Igbo feelings, I am Igbo and it is therefore difficult for me to understand feelings of other Nigerians but I respect it. The truth is, other Nigerians are not aware that there was a war in Nigeria between 1967-1970. There was a war, Igbos were brutalized, humiliated, starved and killed. Igbos do not like Nigeria, Igbos do not want to be Nigeria. See in your analysis, you assumed a Nigeria. Then you talk about its people being the issue. Then elite, religious and ethnic divide. Your sentiments may sincerely think this is true. But to an Igbo, his sentiment is clear, he is Igbo, not Nigeria. Just as you are Nigeria and not Ghana. We do not need to hate each other just understand that. For instance, you mentioned Ken Saro Wiwa as a person you liked. This is a man who wrote poems and stories openly celebrating Igbo death. Honestly, I have tried to avoid going into this because I believe Nigeria today face a serious real issue. I hope we will make this not about IPOB nor Biafra. You have an issue with IPOB because it just does not hate only the Fulanis. I am not a member of therefore I cannot say if it hates other Nigerians, but IPOB has been clear, it is not anti Fulani, it is simple out to actualize Biafra. It is not out to love other Nigerians. That is why it is very popular with the Igbos. Truth is, either you keep your detest for IPOB in the face of a more engaging issue or you ignore IPOB and tackle your issue. Many Igbos agree with IPOB objective but not tactics. Many Nigerians even agree funny enough. There is a need to discuss the basis of Nigeria. If Nigerians insist on oneness, then safeguards to protect the dignity and due expressions of others must be in place. Situations like python dance and numerous checks in South East are just irritating to Igbos. Igbos really do not want to be Nigeria and in my opinion it is only fair to them. Nigeria is not fair to them and honestly, Nigerians do not like them. The riddle is, why still keep them? You went a long way to stress core Igbo and Igboid. That does not exist. However there is an open strategy to divide Igbos. You said the current administration prefer people from the Igboid. Truth is, that has been the system of things since 1970. The current President is simply carrying out old template, nothing new or innovative. Tackle Igbos by saying afterall the Igbos in Delta or Rivers are Igbos while ignoring the Igbos in the South East. Meanwhile place the Igbos outside the South East in a situation they must deny their Igboness for survival or to eat fat crumbs. My brother, I repeat, this is not about Igbo, Biafra, nor IPOB. I appreciate your dislike to them, without emotions, I have to make it clear to you that Igbo sentiment especially since Buhari and ever since I can remember though Obasanjo and Jonathan tried to address it a bit is, "we are conquered people, we do not have a stake in this country, when we can, we will go". Like I pointed out, both the conquered and conquerors are mutually facing death threats. Herdsmen and kidnappers operating everywhere do not discriminate where you are from. But do not expect love from Igbos, the issue is cooperative survival, or you rather prefer your dislike towards IPOB to jeopardize your survival? |
