The owner should go with u while feeding the dog...to show you ain't a threat (friendliness).

While feeding the dog...the owner should also give you food to drop for the dog.

After repeating this for about 3-5 days...you would find out that dogs are friendly to be with.

Also note...you don't approach a dog being fearful (or showing elements of fear)...dogs can sense it from afar.

Approach a dog face long... And rob the head!

A dog could bark at u...but that doesn't show hostility and shouldn't cause you to fear.
Even when it barks...make sure you don't exhibit or pass the feel of fear, boerboel and gsd can sense it and that makes them feel mighty!

My aunt paid us a visit some months ago, she arrived at night and my boerboel was barking at her just as he does to everyone. The next day, I left for work early in the morning just to come back to find my dog, aunt and my dad sitting outside discussing omg ( Murphy that has so much guard instinct in him)

I asked her how she did it? She told me that a dog would bark at you especially when he's the alpha, but it's up to you to stand your ground and comply with the owner, but depending on the level of aggression which the said dog posses.

This is a true life story, my neighbour's landlady forced a local dog on this guy and though he tried to feed it for like 4 days the dog was always aggressive until the day it bit him.
He went for the necessary treatment and starved the dog for 7 good days but he made sure there was water in the dog house or kernel I think. He will just use a stick to push the bowl of water to the dog lol.
After the 7th day he fed the dog with rice he bought from a nearby eatry, men you need to see the way the dog rose from the dead and managed to eat the food.

Since that day till after 3 years the guy relocated I never heard my guy complain about the dog.

Stop bn afraid of the dog and that will settle it.

When u are afraid, ur body produces some secretions which the nose of the dog can smell. This smell triggers the attack mode in the dog.
The interpretation of the smell u produce in the brain of the dog goes like this. Anyone that gets scared once he/she shes a dog is a bad person or has a bad intention, so he/she deserved to be attacked to stop his/her bad intention.

That is why the dog tends to attack u once it smells the secretion.
