Good ! We can't associate our self with curse and terrorist religion. Islam is a curse to humanity, more especially to we from the east. If any one associate he/her with it here, that person will die mysteriously! |

johndoexxx:Just because they wished their listeners happy eid (happy holidays)? The white man would be shaking it's head about the sanity of the igbos (sorry IPOB). The BBC is a station that is over 60 years old, they have BBC service in over 50 languages, I am sure this is the first time a people is getting angry over a simple happy holidays message. Even Boko Haram had never gotten angry over a simple merry Christmas on BBC hausa. |

wirinet:Nobody abhors any thing...Why would you wish Igbos have Islam when it appears they have their preferences? People say by their fruit you will know them? Why do you wish Igbos embrace it? How has it helped you than what Igbos prefer? Most people have no issues with Judaism. Hindism, Buddahism, atheism and you know it. I have never seen Igbo stopping people to worship whatever they want. You need more therapy from anger and hate that the Igbos? How many times have Igbos slaughtered your people because of your religion of choice? Was it the Igbos that burnt your worship centers, or cut of the head of a preachers in Abuja and Kano? You need huge deliverance from anger and hate than the Igbos, mister. Can you list anytime the Igbos have killed anyone because of their religion of choice? |

wirinet:Nope, they will be allowed to worship whatever they want...Have they ever been attacked?...but what did you do to the Yoruba female preacher in the federal capital Abuja? You cut off her head...and you want people to follow you like bees to honey? |

Stingman:Read all the hate filled responses on social media and even here on nairaland over a simple happy holidays message. Why would you wish Igbos have Islam when it appears they have their preferences? People say by their fruit you will know them? Why do you wish Igbos embrace it? How has it helped you than what Igbos prefer? Most people have no issues with Judaism. Hindism, Buddahism, atheism and you know it. I have never seen Igbo stopping people to worship whatever they want.Last time I checked, there is freedom of religion and association in Nigeria. So you as one person cannot determine the religious preferences (or lack of) of the other over 40 million igbos. Even if there is only 1 igbo Muslim, he deserved to be wished a happy holidays. You obviously are a very ignorant person. Buddhist have issues with Islam in India, Hindus have issues with Buddhists in Sri Lanka and atheists have issues with Muslims in Xinjiang, China. Anywhere you have intolerant people who tries to impose their views on others, there will be religious conflict. So this is the reason a simply happy holidays message is causing so much anger? |

Stingman:If they will be allowed to worship in peace, why are you then so angry at an innocent happy eid message. If you are not angered by the Alla hu akhbar message that blare from mosques in igboland everyday and night, why are you guys so angry over a simple happy holidays message. Are you insinuating that today is not a public holiday in igboland? |

wirinet:Not if they are allowed to worship...they are indeed allowed or have you seen any time they are not allowed to worship? You are not only angered you cut offf heads.... As per the Alla hu akhbar message....why won't they be angered with that..What message do your brothers who cut of heads and blow themselves up shout? |

festacman:I never said you needed my validation. And I will never give one if needed. But my wary is that I have noticed a continuous pattern about you which to me is chameleonish in nature. You tactly skipped the part where I told you that you are not neutral when it need be. Am not saying you shouldn't chide your townsfolk when they err. No at all. My concern is that I have come to notice that you are biased when voicing your opinions. More often than not, your opinions are usually laced with the characteristics of a sellout. The kind seen in the Joe Igbokwes of this world. Go through your comments. I have never seen you praise any good news out of your motherland (Thats if you are truely from the East and not an impostor). You critique very divisively but yet don't extend same to your hosts... Judging from your username. Should I say you have eaten the forbidden porridge? And please spare me the bullocks of you being straight up rational, bold and republican because the Igboness in you is undiluted and of premium quality. We know your type and see them daily. You only seek validation from those who make it a daily target to make sure your kinsmen never progresses. Your type gets joy when strangers praise you for deriding your kinsfolk under the guise of being premium, special, undiluted or whatever bullocks you are trying to let me buy. Never chief. Am not saying you should be biased. Never. Am only saying that more often than not, your narratives usually push towards the demystification of your kinsfolk at the glee and laughter of people from the other side (Whom honestly, I have no love or hate for). |

wirinet:In all these thrash you have posted as well informed person, you skip trying to explain why you cut off heads and Igbos don't and you wished them to be like you..cutting of heads all over the place. Assuming all religions like the atheist, Hindusit, Buddaist are cutting off heads from China to Korea..and Africa just like you do...how beautiful would the earth be? You accused the man who is angry but praise the one who cut of heads..What manner of extremist are you? Where you angered by Miss World peagent in Abuja the federal capital that you destroyed Igbo properties in far away Kano or not? Again, the Igbos are republican and free thinkers...they have no issues with people...and you have no powers to dictate to them on what they should be angry or happy about...as they didn't dictate to you on how not to cut off heads... |

| Re: BBC IGBO Apologizes For Insensitivity Of It 'happy Eid' Post by Nobody: 9:39am On Jun 05, 2019 |
Stingman:What you said is very simple. Honestly, we need to be tactical and wary of this people because before you know it, they will use style and start pushing a very wrong narrative towards the Eatsern folks. Honestly, I have no issue with being religiously tolerant with with people of other faiths. But what I find disturbing is trying to bring what you believe in to others. Igbos who I know are predominantly Christians and core catholics. Atimes they can be extremist im their followership of Christianity which atimes is good. Because if the Northern Muslims can be staunch in there followership of Allah, what prevents Igbos from being staunch in theirs too? It wouldn't make any sense to go to a page that is predominantly Igbos and wish them Eid El Fitri knowing fully well they can be very sensitive with religion. Islam is like a taboo to most Igbos I know and obviously, they don't even want to do anything with it. I was reading a comment from one Yoruba guy like that yesterday (Unlimtk or so) where he was lamenting bitterly that Yoruba muslims have have hijacked the Yoruba movie industry and that most times when he wants to watch the usual Yoruba movies, he will be hearing things like Allahu Akbar, Asalum Walleikum... etc. This is exactly how it starts. They begin gradually by making foreign and abnormal things seem normal to you. Then gradually, infiltrate and penetrate your psyche. Bam... You are brainwashed. You put on African magic Igbo channel tomorrow and see Mrs Nkechi telling her husband.. "Dim Oma, Asalum Amelekum" |

VenusTechShop:Who anointed you a judge over my narratives? What Igbo norms, mores and mythology guided your infantile conclusion that my narratives demystify my kinsfolk? Are a confidently practical Igbo man or brainwashed fanatical Igbo man. The difference is that a confident man is in control of himself but a brainwashed man is being controlled by another man. You sounded more of latter than former. |
| Re: BBC IGBO Apologizes For Insensitivity Of It 'happy Eid' Post by wirinet(m): 10:21am On Jun 05, 2019 |
VenusTechShop:True you guys have to very tactical, but you have been employing wrong tactics design by a juvenile youth group with no political experience. The idea of expressing anger at a well reputed organization for a simple happy holidays message does not look good in the international community. No one is trying to change your beliefs, they are only telling you to be tolerant of the beliefs and views of others whose views you don't agree with. Igbos who I know are predominantly Christians and core catholics. Atimes they can be extremist im their followership of Christianity which atimes is good. Because if the Northern Muslims can be staunch in there followership of Allah, what prevents Igbos from being staunch in theirs too?Extremism in any format is never good. Extreme socialism is bad, so is capitalism. Extremist Christianity is as bad as extremist Islam. The reason the whole world is against ISIS, Boko Haram, etc is due to their extremist ideology and not because of Islam. If IPOB decide to take extremist Christian or Jewish ideology, they will be put in the same category as Boko Haram. It wouldn't make any sense to go to a page that is predominantly Igbos and wish them Eid El Fitri knowing fully well they can be very sensitive with religion. Islam is like a taboo to most Igbos I know and obviously, they don't even want to do anything with it.The keyword is predominantly. Because one religion is predominant does not mean others should be shut out or oppressed. I don't believe your narrative of " Islam is like a taboo to most Igbos I know and obviously, they don't even want to do anything with it". This is the narrative of IPOB ( who no.1 hatred is reserved for Islam after which is Afonja). Millions of Igbos in Lagos, the southwest and North do not harbour hatred for Islam. Non of my Igbo in laws here in Laos harbour such hatred for Islam. I was reading a comment from one Yoruba guy like that yesterday (Unlimtk or so) where he was lamenting bitterly that Yoruba muslims have have hijacked the Yoruba movie industry and that most times when he wants to watch the usual Yoruba movies, he will be hearing things like Allahu Akbar, Asalum Walleikum... etc.Demand dictate the supply. How many Christians watch Yoruba movies compared to muslims. Yorubas are evenly split between muslims and Christians, nothing stops Yoruba Christians from making Christian movies if he feels there is demand. Mike Bamiloye is doing very well I the movie industry with his evangelical films. |
