Also, please show us anywhere it was said that Disney produced Dark Phoenix
I'm talking about ownership not production.
What's hard about that.
Fox might have produced it, but the moment Disney bought them, ownership is transferred to Disney.

Besides, why are you hung up on the Fox/Disney thing.
Thought it didn't matter to you lots as far it was a Marvel character involved.

A Marvel film has flopped critically and you are so eager to dissociate from it by arguing it was produced by Fox.

You lots wouldn't do the same for Sam Raimi's Spider man. I'm sure of that.

We Marvel fans and our selective Amnesia.
Take this advice from me:
Stick to your MCU.

Dude, i couldn't even care less about Dark Phoenix. I accept the fact that a Marvel movie is getting panned. I'm also particularly not salty about it especially since i already anticipated it being a critical flop ever since they made it known that they were adapting the Dark Phoenix storyline.

My main beef is with you implying Disney should have bought critics. Even if it were properly proven that Disney is guilty of this, what is Disney's business? They didn't produce it and i'm quite certain they're getting no revenue from it. They're rebooting the series anyways so whether it was a critical hit or flop is inconsequential. That's why i brought up the matter of production.

The real blow will be the new mutants film. They have been pushing that one since last year to this year to next year.

I have a feeling they might not even show it again in cinema as disney doesnot do r rated since the film is R rated and horror.

Most MCU fanboys didnt even know about these film before I brought it to their knowledge

Disney is the one distributing the dark Phoenix film, so they are definitely going to get something for it.

They're distributing not producing. I stand corrected on the revenue part though but the rest of my point still stands

Am cool bro.

If you are distributing a film, you still spend money on advertisements/marketing and distribution of the films in cinemas world wide, and definitely will be expecting returns for the distribution

To be honest, if Disney wanted the dark Phoenix to sell, they will market it well...but from what I read last week, Disney abandoned the marketing at a point , epecially in China.

I have a feeling that they didn't want it to sell because of their "Without MCU, no marvel film can survive mantra" . Right now, Sony's spiderman is highly dependent on MCU to a point Sony is begging for venom to be introduced into MCU.

Its still a hunch but I will share my thoughts on this after far from home.

Dude, the coldness can be felt in the spine.

When it comes to Logan, Deadpool and Sami trilogy it becomes Marvel and a cause for celebration but if it was the last two X-Men it is either " it is not MCU, it is Fox/Marvel not Disney/Marvel.

Quite apt, they have selective amnesia grin
