Ahmad Ahmad (born 30 December 1959) is a Malagasy football administrator. He became a politician after being both a football player and coach in his younger days. Since February 2003, he serves as the president of Malagasy Football Federation and currently in his third period of office.

I always saw him as a future CAF president... This could have been Amos Adamu long ago but for corruption.

Why are a lot of these football administrators so corrupt btw? It doesn't matter whether it's the Asian, South American, European confederations, they're are all the same.

I heard from the grapevine that it might have been Mustapha Fahmy that set the police on Ahmad Ahmad. Fahmy was the secretary general of CAF when Hayatou was president and his son worked at CAF until Ahmad forced him out.


Then there's this from the Daily Mirror's Rahman Osman.

(Kwesi Nyantakyi was president of the Ghana Football Association until last year when a masked journalist named Annas exposed his corrupt activities. He was arrested by Ghanaian police and FIFA banned him from all football related activities for life).

How about several high ranking FIFA officals who were caught up in the US corruption investigation a few years ago? Several of them were white...including the US football official whose crime kicked off the investigation.

Chuck Blazer. I remember that he was the president of the United States Soccer Federation (their FA) when the US hosted the World Cup in 1994.

USA '94 was so succesful that he eventually got a seat on the FIFA executive committee. He was involved in the corruption in FIFA until the FBI secretly arrested him.

He struck a deal with the FBI and he helped the FBI to spy on other FIFA executive committee members in exchange for a lighter sentence.
