Yh. The season will run its course then it will be canceled. But this is the first time i'm seeing a show being cancelled after only one episode. That only means the show should never really have kicked off

exactly. There's very little u can tell with a tv budget. And u can't do so when the setting is restricted to the swamp and featuring just human characters the main character w0n't interact with.

yea. Just look at it this way. U have a character living in a swamp who can't interact with a supporting cast of human characters, who can't socialize with the outside world, the setting is solely the swamp with swamp thing al0ne, how do u tell such story in the span of a series? The drama, the plot etc. It w0n't work unless u surround swamp thing with supernatural characters.

The main reason it was cancelled is because it was too expensive to make.

Juat look at the CGI, costume acting, everything is top notch and befitting of a film not cinema. Not TV series can beat it but it was damn expensive.

It is the right thing that it was cancelled but proper communication should have been made.
