He is NOT “running in another country’s colours now”, rather that his SCHOOL colors (Texas Tech Univ), during the national collegiate meet.

Divine is NIGERIAN, born and bred, and has always represented a NIGERIA starting from the youth games, and has represented Nigeria at the Commonwealth and the Olympic games, and most recently at the 2018 African Athletics Championships held in Asaba in August 2018!

PS: And btw, the Nigerian record is in the 200m (not the 100m), where Divine’s 19.73 eclipsed his previous record of 19.76s (ran in April at the Michael Johnson Invitational), which had itself eclipsed Francis Obikwelu’s long-standing 19.84s.
