All that caused me distress Emotionally, as a child i was wondering what was wrong with those Adults, i really thought that they were mentally sick and still think so.

There is difference between religion and sprituality. Which you can't obviously see. Sprituality teach content, which leads to peace then joy. Which is the end of all things. There will always be something one lack in life. Relative to the village man you are in paradise. But some village people can still be more happy than city urban dweller with the right spiritulity.

Spirituality work from inside out. Not outside in. Learn to learn. Be humble while doing it.

Spot on with your post, Nigeria is a religious country but not a godly nation, they are two different things, now, take a look at China, the Chinese are almost classified as an Atheist Nation but almost all the electronics, plastic chairs, microphones used in all religious centres in Nigeria comes from China, China doesn't subscribe to prayers / fasting and so many religious bulshit going on in Nigeria but China is working, they have all the basic infrastructures like good roads, security, power, good economy all working for them to the extent that they are able to challenge the US on several front just like the current economic war between the US and China.

Nigeria on the other hand prays daily with thousands of churches, mosques, voodoo centres littered across the country but unfortunately it doesn't translate to spirituality but rather all the evidence of a failed state after the order of Afghanistan, Yemen, Syria, South Sudan, and Libya are all in Nigeria and to crown it all, Nigeria is the current headquarters of extreme poverty in the world and the 6th most miserable country on earth but ironically it is a praying nation, God cannot be mocked with frivolous religious pieties void of Godliness

God is tired of useless prayers coming daily from Nigeria void of righteousness and the Patriotic citizens of Nigeria will get offended by my post, instead of them to match to Abuja to stone the politicians in power that have been raping Nigeria without a condom since 1960, they will rather pick offence when you tell them the real situation of things in the same country that has kept them in darkness and poverty, let them continue to pray and enjoy the rubbish going on in Nigeria while the country sinks further as one of the unsafest country to live in the world
