donziggyman:The difference is the Roman Catholic Church was started by Jesus himself. We just celebrated our 1986th year anniversary last Sunday. So everything the leaders in the church do is Christ like. That's why some priests, at ordination, take a vow of poverty. It's rare to see a priest with 2 cars. The Pope's private car is a 1980s model. They rarely have personal houses. Fashioned after Christ. The Catholic Church doesn't frown on wealth, no. Ironically else, it's the richest church. But the thing is what do you do with this money? Do you buy private planes and helicopters for the Bishops and Monseigneurs? Is that how you win souls? So people can blurt out rubbish like "God is indeed working in the life of that bishop, look, he has a private jet"? No. That is vanity. The Catholic Church is the biggest non-governmental charity organisation. There's no country in the world, save the middle Eastern countries and a few others, where the Catholic church doesn't operate a charity organisation. Here in my small estate, a parish has a relief centre. The Pentecostal faith is a disgrace to the Protestant movement as a whole. If you study the works of early Protestants like Luther and Calvin, you would notice a major deviation from what is being practiced by Pentecostals today. Baptist, Methodist, Anglican, these are all Protestant. But there manner is nearer to the Catholic faith than Pentecostals. What the Pentecostal church needs is a serious reformation. So People can stop seeing their pastors as ultra beings who can just wake up one morning and decide to use church money for their personal gratification. |

UgoFly:Wait, you thought it was easy to see Jesus? Ask the woman with the issue of blood, or Jarius the Centurion. Ask the man whose friends had to break the roof of another person's house, just to see Jesus. Dey dia. Jesus hard to see pass Trump. Jesus was available but not accessible just like that. |

Christianity is no longer different from idolatry. If it is not the Catholics bowing down to graven images, it would be the pentecostals worshiping their pastors like they are some messiahs. The gospel is very simple: Preach the Good News. But today, you will see pastors using philosophies and rhymes to impress their followers. You will hear pastors saying "There is no glory without a story" and the followers would be shouting "Yoh Yoh Yoh. Fire on, pastor". |

Shepherd00:Jesus was never hard to assess as Trump or our pastors are. He had no protocols. Anyone who was unable to see Christ was not because of protocols or bodyguards but because there was a crowd of others wanting to see Him. You can see Jesus or bring your sick to Him and you would see Him easily if He was by Himself or with just His disciples. For example, the blind man at Bathsaida. But you can't just see Oyedepo without booking appointments. In fact, you can't see Oyedepo on the street and approach him without getting manhandled. Christianity has turned into a joke. |

raptex:lol, those who give are C.E.Os, some of them are billionaires, they don't think like you, and the funny thing is that some of them were broke before they started attending the church, until God intervened, if you want to know how rich the members re, go to some of the car parks after their Holy ghost night, then you will know that money is speaking, some of the members single-handedly donated money for building churches in the U.S and U.K, people like that have no business talking about tithe and offering, they are too loaded to think about it, so stop wasting your time. |

Yes, HERETICS call unto HERETICS. Before some fools come after me in defense of their unorthodox pastors, I challenge you all (including your heretical pastors) to make a sound EXEGESIS of Romans 9. If you can correctly do this then, we can discuss about why I called them heretics (which they are) |

BluntBoy:Wrong! Zachaeus though short in stature and thus better able to squeeze through the crowd to access Jesus had to climb a tree to do so! Folks had to remove the roof of a house to access Jesus to get for their person. Bartimaeus had to scream himself silly shouting the cognomen of Jesus to access Him and even at that was told to shut up but he wouldn’t until he got the attention of Jesus who stood still to attend to him. I could go on and on. The real reason Jesus would usually tell recipients of the miracles he performed to not noise it about is to avoid being mobbed by the crowd ever seeking a miracle. Want contemporary stuff? Recently at Akure a Christian lady prayed for some crippled fellow and leper who received healing instantaneously. But for Akure Chiefs who rushed her to their residence close by the Deji of Akure Palace where the incident happened she would have been mobbed. FYI the crowd insisted on seeing her so she could pray for them threatening to pull down the house where she was. The police had to be called in to take her away. That’s the way it goes! You do not take your personal safety lightly just so you won’t get criticised! |

BluntBoy:See, I no wan follow talk for dis matter o. when i said Jesus was available but accessible like that, I know what I'm talking about. His 12Apostle were what if not His protocol? Do you remember when Children came to see Jesus? Who stopped them from getting to Jesus? His Apostles or the Pharisees? Luke 18:38-40 And he cried, saying, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me. And they which went before rebuked him, that he should hold his peace: but he cried so much the more, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me. And Jesus stood, and commanded him to be brought unto him: and when he was come near, he asked him, Jesus commanded that he be brought. Could the blind man access Jesus without Him asking for him to be brought? Matthew 15:22-26 And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil. But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us. But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me. But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs. Did Jesus just call a woman 'a dog?'. Just imagine Oyedepo doing this, what will you say? He had no protocols. Anyone who was unable to see Christ was not because of protocols or bodyguards but because there was a crowd of others wanting to see Him.[/quote]Who stopped the Children from accessing Jesus? And, Oyedepo is just sitting there idle with no crowd waiting to see Him yet he wouldn't attend to people abi? BluntBoy:Scripture pls? Maybe you shd be told that Oyedepo ministers to people personally too. BluntBoy:Many have testified of running into him, they called out he stops his car, attends to them and they come to testify as they receive their encounter. I have heard many such Testimonies. And Christianity is a joke to anyone who is standing outside and looking into the Church. You are like a man looking through a glass, your vision is vague. We are doing better than ever. Today's Church is a Triumphant Church. |

zoedew:Can shouting hard alone get you access to Trump? Of course not. That they had to shout before getting access does not mean that accessing Him was itself hard. If you argue that it was hard to access Jesus, then how come it is now so easy to access Him? What changed? |
