It got a lot to do with the 2nd batch because once Ladan isn't return DG of the DPR, all his candidate won't be considered as the new DG will definitely take over the 2nd batch and bring in his/her people. It happens when Mr. Andrew Obaje was removed by Desieni. All Andrew OBAJE candidate were dropped.
Ladan's tenure ends on Monday next week.

If you don’t get a notification from DPR in June, please move on with your life.

Best of Luck!
Mr. Marvel, 19 days to the June.

Hmm the true is the present turn is of event is reflecting Mr Ahmad Shakur in a very bad light. He held on to the so-called “Merit APL” for well over a year, why? If he is interested in merit isn’t that the first thing he was to release then watch as Stakeholders fight for the remaining?

Does he want to use merit slots as bargaining chips if push comes to shove Is that why he still hasn’t released the merit APL when his tenure ends next week Monday?

The picture of the kind of man this trend is painting, worries me. People, what decisive action do we take at this junction.

Let's pray Mr. President consider him for reappointment otherwise, forget this 2nd batch because it will be injured. Grossly injured by those who sponsored the newly appointed Director. New crops of stakeholders will emerge.

If truly he has the interest of the "Merits" at heart, he should reach out before it's late cos nothing is certain.
I just feel there is more to this thing. I can't imagine why anyone would make it linger this long when/if things are in order.

Yeah. There may be more to it. Let's hope he do what's necessary. Everything has been concluded as FCC chairman (Barr. A. Shaba) was given 4 slots in this 2nd batch.

It is not looking as if anything would come out for merit folks with this present way so a new crops of stakeholders would not even matter.

I utterly regret the fact that the publishers were swayed away from the newspaper publications and peaceful protests but it’s not too late.

Its time the world knows that the child of the common man in Nigeria cannot get a job in any government parastatal again even with proper qualifications because of greedy men that already earn more than 95% of Nigerians but have still decided to gulp down our common wealth angry

That window of opportunity has loooooooooooooong closed. It is too late for any of that now. Moreso, I have learned that majority of our people lack the capacity and resolve to take ACTION. The majority will not rise to your clarion call anytime soon. Maybe another generation in say 100 years if Jesus tarries...but certainly not this generation.

Quite unfortunate! We had the oppurtunity to rally behind Brocksamson and Co to get answers directly from the DPR through the publication, but instead they were attacked and called names by dictionary speaking sheriffs while the others watched and stayed on the fence. We lacked oneness in the pursuit for good out of this recruitment. Greed and Selfishness held sway in most of the for and against situations that have played out here.

Today where are the Sheriffs? They can't wait again? I always wonder if Mr Shakur ever got to even hear there is a thread like this or even got to know a Cake (by Brocksamson and Notindome) was sent to him from nairaland hopefuls? Integrity, Integrity, Integrity rained on him so much that you would want to define Mr Shakur as Integrity. Here we are today still mentioning Mr Shakur and "Merit" in one sentence. May God judge him on this matter. So many here relied on that hope that atleast he was going to be reasonably fair in handling the recruitment.

The socalled Merit have been redefined, modified ,and accepted irrespective of how the recruitment has gone in batch 1 and how it is likely going to be same in batch 2, if it finally surfaces.

Its this June or nothing. Do what your mind tells you don't wait on anybody, except the person is not following this thread.

From the look of things, whether he gets his tenure extended or relieved of his duties, either way d common man doesnt stand to benefit anything. How are u guys sure he is not already trading d purported list so as to retain his seat. If another takes over, he too will surely bring in his people. We seriously goofed with d idea of publication as suggested by brocksamson. This people never had d common man in mind right from d onset. And to even think that some people were portraying them as men of integrity and holier-than-thou makes it more annoying. For posterity sake, we need to still put it out bare what was perpetrated in this sham of a recruitment so that future generations will not suffer from our inaction as regards this recruitment.

I dnt know the reason why DPR refused to contact the already approved 2nd batch list as ealier schedule, but for what ever reasons FCC are part of the problem and they are not for the interest of the common man but themself.

For me second batch will surely come with my following reasons:

1. portals are still opened
2.They are so serious about competent ones to the extent that they can open some people's portals even after they have closed it.
3. They are also so serious about this recruitment to the extent that they are calling people on phones who missed their interview dates(I am eye witness)
4.Since the stakeholder's candidates are not complete, so there are some areas that needed to be completed especially engineering and co.
5.Whatever is yours no matter how Long it will surely come to you.
6. God is surely hearing the prayers of the common man.
7. I am also sure that God is ever ready to help all those who solely believed in him.
8. I am sure all of us have prayed hard, there is even time when we had a prayer and fasting sessions in this forum.
9. I am also sure that our prayer and fasting will not go in vain.

God has designed this work for I and you(Who believed God can do it) and by his grace it will come to us. Amen.

It's been a long 2 years + on the thread and we've had the praise singers of merit being the watchword of the king (Ladan) and Mr Tata (Shakur) if I'm to borrow Smartgrid's coined titles. Everything from the test to the interview didn't leave any doubt about this supposed integrity, but from the time of contacting successfuls and the way and manner it was done has left a lot to be asked about whether these men are what they have been portrayed to be.

Someone dug up one of Neverdown's post where he was also declaring how merit driven the selection process was, but I'm baffled as to whether the person who brought up the post did not see Neverdown's last posts about how the list has been compromised amongst other things or he chose to be selectively bias. Not forgetting the list he dropped also which led to him being suspended from posting on the thread for some days, whether the list is authentic or not is a topic for another day.

Over the past 2years we've seen and heard a lot, but i think the events of the past one year is as crystal clear as can be in determining whether or not we think this wait should continue.

Marvel said to move on if we're not notified by dpr in June, a simple yet complex statement because we've had this predictions for over a year and for me i chose to see the statement as telling us to move on whether dpr contacts anyone or not (I mean this thread has seen more failed predictions than a quack meteorologist). And in the event that it fails yet again, we have to move on but not without airing our voices afterall Xtruzz once said "Go get it with every means necessary." "Exploit every options
What's your business with innocent soul. You kill person ni?"
. It's not for us to worry about the likely outcome but we must do our part nonetheless and do it for the sake of posterity.

Lastly i would say that the oppressed must learn to unite if they will ever oust their oppressors, yesterday i read something on Twitter about how NASS members were busy hugging and congratulating each other regardless of the winner or loser but they will turn around to tell us that we cannot get along based on ethnic, religious and ideological divides. Dozylala called for a protest and he showed up alone, Brocksamson came with the publication and had to contend with the disavowers but in one of his recent posts he struck gold and one thing i took from it is ".Even without connection, You do everything in your power to get what is yours." We must take one last stand and ensure that this is the month we truly move on from all that concerns this recruitment.

P.S we are never going to get anywhere if we rely on prayers alone, the holy book tells us that faith without works is dead. Jacob was already a direct recipient of God's blessing by virtue of God's promise to his grandfather, but he went on to wrestle an angel for his own personal blessing

Guys still don't understand proceedings of things in this country. Even if the proposed protest was staged it would have amounted to absolute nothing...

The previous recruitment where protest worked was because no single application letter was released *not because those who merited it didn't get their letter* as assumed by people here.

But in this case application letters have been released and people have been recruited. The list met the FCC guide lines and also DPR proceedural guide lines so to say

So what will the protest have been about.

Who has evidence that he is a merit and wasn't picked
Who else also has evidence that his state qouta was insufficient
Who else has evidence that he did better in the test and exams than those picked for the recruitment

Guys I pray we all reach the pinnacle of our career then we will all understand what works and how it works.

Moreover most of us clamouring for protest or whatever are not different from those we accuse of favouritism, had i been selected or you been selected would any of us still be visiting this thread let alone fighting for the supposed right of if others?

We are all screaming for selfish reasons under the disguise of promoting "what is right"

So i get pissed when I see people demonize those who used "what they have to get what they want " just because they lack such privileges.

Truth be told if me and you have one or two links we would also have put it into use too rather come here to form one fake comrade...

Please stop painting those who had the links black just because you don't have.

Please let us also stop this naivity and be realistic for once...

Xtruz said it almost 8 months ago... Make contacts rather than noise! That is exactly what works in Nigeria contacts...

But peeps! Prefer to make noise!

Didn't DPR head submit a list to NASS so what would your protest amount to?

Thank God am also an hopeful else some would have labelled me an SH for stating these realistic glaring factual facts

I wish all of us all the best

could have worked if ACTION was taken before 2019. In the walk-up to elections, bold moves like that rarely go unnoticed by the govt of the day. But now there is no cheap political point to score. A protest one year after others resumed is dead on arrival in my opinion. I sha hope many here see the many learning points in this experience... altho i wouldn't hold my breath sha

ps: forming hopeful when you know and can see that contacts are what can secure you this job, is also a good example of naivety and being unrealistic.
