Tech Gurus, Help me
Pardon my typos, am writing with a worried unrelaxed mind.
Am not myself right now.

Am about planning for my Marriage, Bea and I have been together for more than 5years, I trust her a lot, the nature of my job created distance in our relationship, though she visits once or twice a month. am at Benin and she's at warri. She works at warri too so this makes it hard for her to come and visit, her siblings and her parents (not together though) knows me and so does my parents and siblings... our love is strong.

Towards the end of last year i went to Lagos to see her father to make my intentions known and then i collected the list. I've fixed the marriage date on August of this year..

The Problem

This is why i need help,

Just last month she came to visit me cos we're planning to move into a new house after the marriage (as at now I live in a one room self-contain, which is not comfortable for two) so we're hunting for a new house at Benin.
That evening when she was preparing dinner, i took her phone (I don't even view her messages on social media even when she wants me to) to play some gospel track's, I loved the song's i decided to Mark all the music files in her phone and transfer them to my phone.

She spent the weekend and left the following day, so two days later i came back from work and i was relaxing in the evening playing the song's i collected from her, then all of a sudden the next track was a recorded track in 3gpp file extension (but it's playing as audio) it's a recorded sex tape. Though i can't hear the voices clearly, but moaning looks like my fiancee voice i was confused, I sent for her the next week and when she came, i took her phone and searched the file and i found it and I confronted her, she swore it's not hers that it could be her friend whom she bought the phone from as the date was January 2018. We agured and then she started questioning the trust in the relationship, i had to let it go for now.
But deep down something tells me she's the one..
Tech Gurus on nairaland please how do you convert a 3gpp file that plays as audio into videos, I've tried Vlc, mx, and a lot of video players, but they keep playing it as audio. But when i check my Media galleries it's in the video folder, please help me. It could be that am about to dodge a bullet or it could be a setup.

I don’t think there’s any converters that can convert an audio file to a video file. What you can do is to check the properties of the file on her phone that should tell you when it was made, that is if she hasn’t deleted the file

Thank you so much, Okay, I've checked, and its a 3gpp file. Isn't 3gpp supposed to be a low res video file, it's on my video player folder in the gallery but its audio in other media player, don't know if I can upload it here for you, I don't know if the mods would allow that.

It’s possible to also have a 3gpp file in audio. Since you transferred the original file in audio format I don’t think you can convert it to a video file. But the reason I asked you to check the properties of the file on her phone is to ascertain the date the file was made, that way you will know if she was lying about when it was made

@blujoi said it all some file format can accept file but the interpretation of those file depends on the hardware media that sends the file most probably is the audio recorder not the camcorder. Very correct, it doesn’t matter that it’s stored ed in your video folder. As to the matter of trust....hmmmm, sometimes you just have to turn a blind eye or gird your heart and mind cos shiit happens

Locate the file using a file manager(e.g. Es file explorer) highlight the file. Go into its rename option, and change its extension.

From: myfile.3gpp
To: myfile.3gp or myfile.mp4

downloaded the es file explorer already from third party though couldn't find it on the play store. i changed the extension name to 3gp but it showed same thing but when I changed it to mp4 it was just dark.. are there any other video extensions probably the ones recorded from laptops.. please let me know

Don't stress yourself bro. It's an audio file not video. There's no way it can be changed to video.

The mistake you made is confronting her about it. You should have gone through all her phone and social media before confronting her.

When I searched her phone after the incident, that's what i did@ bolded, there was nothing implicating, not even a deleted conversation(I did that before questioning her).

This file keeps showing on my video gallery as a video file, but then it plays as audio.
I guess I would never know then, since i have to settle for fate, but sir, to be honest, ever since i saw that file on my phone, i haven't been myself, you know the feeling. Thanks for your help, i appreciate.

Check the name of the file, if it was recorded with a phone, the name will tell you.

Technically you saying i can still view the file in a java phone been that its recorded as 3gp probably on a java device, right?
when i get home i'll upload screenshots of the file details.
