The duties of the legislature is to make sure the executive don't have absolute power, that's why most decrees have to pass a hearing on the senate before being passed into law. Without the senate, Buhari might wake up one day, pass a decree for forcefully conscripting anyone above 18 years old into the army, and there's nothing anyone will do about it. The senate is there to prevent such things from happening

Look boy!There is nothing like decree anymore in a democracy......and moreover that is not d main function of d NASS.what obnoxious law has d executive pass that d Senate turn down,rather it is d other way round,d executive is checking d excess of d Nass,Pmb has turn down some useless laws that has no impact on u.
