2.most black South Africans were poor , and we had almost a non existent middle class . Today South Africa is classified as am upper middle class country, and the biggest middle class population is mostly black, with the biggest purchasing power in the country.
3. We had no millionaires. Today South Africa has the highest number of dollar millionaires , and I can bet you if you minus the number of millionaires who are not black , we would go head to head with you. Mind you, you people were left to create wealth even during colonialism and post your independence, and we only started about 20 years back and with even less to start with.
4. We are only competing with Zimbabwe and maybe guinea literacy rate in Africa, and we also continue churning out quality graduates from quality universities yearly to increase our skilled force and in turn increase our middle class . And if you look at the standards of living of our middle class people, the investment in education has worked .
5. We turned our ghettos to tourist destinations , opening opporutines for young hustlers to make legit money from tourists. I have not seen this in any African nation.
6. We have the best transport system in Africa, even better than many eastern European countries. Our new brt system that goes from townships to city centres is world class. We had the first "bullet "train in sub Saharan Africa. We have just upgraded our oldest trains for world class type , specifically for the poor citizens. You will not find a danfo like taxi , not even in our worst neighbourhoods. Our taxis are road worthy.
7. We have no children street beggars . Poor children are entitled to social welfare grants nationwide ,regardless of race , tribe and religion. This goes for all grandparents and disabled people as well. This avoids exploitation of the most vulnerable.
8. Our poor people who cannot afford houses, are built new houses to help them up.

You are clearly pained by what is being said here. In my earlier post I did say we still have some people living in informal settlements, hence the government is busy providing free houses for them . This is what we mean by progress and development , we are not looking at our problems and complaining without action or running from them , we are solving them. Check out the number of South Africans who lived in slums 20 years and ago and check the stats now; that is what we call progress. Success is not an event my dear , and the sooner you guys learn that the better . Short cuts will not get you anywhere.
