Three Nigerians were involved in the kidnap of the Canadian girls. Infact when the police went to release the girls, there were 2 Nigerians keeping the girls and they exchanged gun shots with the police before they were arrested after 25 minutes. The 3rd Nigerian was arrested afterwards in another location.

The other case in Takoradi, one Nigerian from South-South/East was arrested over 2 months ago; he later broke jail, but was re-arrested and now in police custody. His confession has now led the Ghana police to arrest the leader of the gang in Togo, 2 days ago.
