Hi all, i sold some bitcoins to unknown person online and i never knew the transaction was done by someone he planned to scam. He actually scammed the person that sent the money to me and now the person has freeze my account for my innocence. I’ve talked to the bank about the whole thing but they still can’t do anything about it even after many months of promises. I got to talk to the person that freeze my account and he said i should pay him half of the money in which i still find it hard to pay because I can’t lose my money for nothing. I told the person that I can’t pay in what i never did. My account has been there for months now. I want to know if there’s anyway i can close the account or what will happen if it still remain unattended to? Help. Tored of going to the bank to hear same story

Get a good Lawyer then proceed to the court with necessary Evidence that you are innocent, you might get a court order to unfreeze the bank account

Which account exactly? Bitcoin account or naira account? If it's a naira account, no individual can freeze your account withiut going thru police and court

then what if i decide not to do anything and let the account be? What will happen?

If your account is frozen because of a case reported against you, as soon as you get to the bank to rectify it, you will be detained by the bank security and handed over to the police, so if you're sure you have done nothing wrong, just go to the bank and confirm the reason, it might be be a bvn issue or something else.

yes. But the manager saw the truth and promised to work on unfreezing the account. I haven’t heard from him till now

is it possible for me to abandon the account or close it?
