Happy Father's day to these great men of God. Thank you for answering the call of God. Thank you for transforming lives. I am a Testimony. I celebrate you Sirs @Pastor David Ogbueli & Pastor Shola Olapade.

What about your dad and/or husband?
Re: Happy Father's Day! by zebra(m): 1:54pm On Jun 16, 2019
Point of correction; it is "fathers' day" and not "father's day". Just like " children's day" and not "child's day". The plural should be used please. Thanks

Happy Father’s Day to all responsible fathers and every strong women that played the role of both father and mother to their children.
Whatof the fathers that played role of mother and father? Don't ruin Father's Day by mentioning mothers.

I don't know what you mean by a father's job is not to look good always.

However, when a parent who has the moral capacity to do so corrects you in love by punishment or spanking, it sinks.

Children do not hate parents because of discipline, they hate them because the corrector often times doesn't have the moral authority to do so.

Happy fathers day to all fathers.
If your yard stick for respect is moral authority, then neither parent should be respected, because none is perfect.

Here we go again.....Even to say happy fathers day is a problem, condition has to be there.....

What manner of nonsense is this......I don't see people wishing happy mothers day with condition.

The job of fathers is to ensure you have all you need to survive this world, his job is not to pet you or be your friend.

Like it or not men are the reason this world works..........Funny enough women are the reason why a lot of men become scum, yet we will be hailing them........Think of all the great men right up to adam, who led them astray...

Hahahahhahahah cheesy

Such naive guy cheesy

Nope that's a title given to high Chiefs in my place of origin, delta state. Instead of saying Chief, it's better to add Olorugun to the name of the man.

I'm praising my dad on the first paragraph . grin He's late though but he still lives on in my heart.

While my boo, soon to be hubby was mentioned on the last sentences.

A father's role include instilling discipline in his kids
Like proper discipline

I see no reason why a father cannot be good and still install discipline
My father was a good dad to me (HE tried his best despite many imperfections) And YET did not compromise on discipline
These days they don't beat, but my father then will knock SENSE into your head.
YET he was still still good dad.
my point Is that instilling discipline and being a good dad does not have to br mutually exclusives

Not all children understand the relationship between discipline and love, so many children now see discipline and hatred as one and the same. We are in a generation in which no one wants to be corrected and most times that’s the father’ Job, lastly, some mothers bad mouth their husbands at the slightest opportunity and over time it sinks into the child’s subconscious (parent alienation). The narrative of a ‘good father’ has been used to malign male parents. Women also make mistakes but we don’t hear happy Mother’s Day to ‘good mother’. Happy Father’s Day to all fathers around the world.

It also depends on HOW the discipline was done as well...

And whether the father was a good example or not

Beating your child LIKE A GOAT is not discipline but abuse.
Correcting your child properly IS discipline

A good number of father's especially in Nigeria no try AT ALL.

that is just the fact

Happy fathers day to all fathers.
Children also hate parents because they lack the capacity to understand that such firm corrections were done out of love. In addition, they hate a parent because the other parent bad mouths him in her bad moods so much it becomes the truth. Some children grew up to realize their fathers were not as demonic as they were painted to look years earlier but it’s usually too late to save the situation. Lastly, mothers also make mistakes but Mother’s Day does not get mared by “happy Mother’s Day to good mothers”. Thank you very much. Happy Father’s Day to all fathers around the world, we appreciate your sacrifices that only you could do.
