We intend to borrow 6B and repay 6B.its called debt refinancing.More than half the debt is debt owed to Kenyans. Tanzania let me remind you is a Heavily Indebted Country that depends 16%of budget on donors and lots of debt forgiveness from magnanimous countries.WB and IMF allow you to borrow at zero interest because you're again HIPC and LDC.

Just imagine Rwanda will collect 3.5B as mighty Tanzania nation of laggards struggle to collect 7B smiley - last year I doubt you got past 6.5B

Hahaha.of all stupid write ups I have read from you guys this has to be the Leading one. Now go back and check those countries properly and also make sure you analyse their economic reforms before you dream bIG .going by what rvp said your country will be a $300bn economy in 2030 which is a wet pipe dream.did you check the curent gdp of egypt which is about to hit $300bn and that of SA about to hit $400 and our by the end of 2020 will hit $690bn.
Maybe you also forgot that egypt is experiencing a greater gdp growth than the supposed resourcesless country that wants to surpass it.
Check debt trap of all this countries and see how hopeless your soon to neocolonized nation is.
There is a reason why SA is among the BRICS and Nigeria among the MINT nations. According to the recent imf and world bank projection nigeria,SA, Egypt are the only countries destined to be rolling on a trillion dollar economy soon on the continent , kenya and other magreb nations was not on that list. Crawl before you walk and while you are at it expect some more alsaahab, natural disaster economic crippling cos that your destiny.

Let me also add that ethopia is set to overcome kenya in a few months all thanks to the massive fdi and greater gdp growth

Latest news, Kenya leads the rest of Sub-sahara in HCI,
While Nigeria "poverty capital" only doing better than South Sudan and Somalia

The World Bank puts Kenya’s HCI at 0.52 — the highest in sub-Saharan Africa.

A Kenyan born today is likely to achieve at most only 52 percent of his or her potential if they survive to adulthood given the inefficiencies and shortfalls in the education and health systems.
This is according to the World Bank’s new Human Capital Index (HCI), which measures human capital of the next generation.

Nigeria, the most populous country in the continent, reported a HCI of 0.34 (position 152/157). A 15-year-old in Nigeria has a 65 percent chance of surviving up to 60 years old against a 15-year-old Kenyan who boasts of a 79 percent probability of survival to adulthood.

A South African child (HC1 0.41) will only deliver 41 percent of full potential once one grows into an adult.

Thirty-one percent of children under five years are stunted, 68 percent survival rate to adulthood only 4.2 years of quality learning in school makes the nation lose up to 59 percent of its capital potential.

On the eastern Africa front, Tanzania came close to Kenya with a 0.4 score, Uganda, Ethiopia and Burundi 0.38, Rwanda 0.37 and South Sudan 0.3.

Globally, Singapore had the highest score with a HCI value of 0.88, South Korea 0.84, Japan 0.84, Hong Kong 0.82 and Finland 0.81 make the top five in the list.

Nigerian Professor hatches plot to ‘tear up’ Ghana

A Nigerian Professor on sabbatical leave at the University of Ghana by name Augustine Nwabara is inciting the Nigerian media and community in Ghana to take up strategies that would destroy the image of Ghana to the world.

In a video gone viral on social media, the Prof in a meet up with some Nigerians in the country implored the Nigerian media to tear in the eyes of the international community through negative reportage.

According to the professor, Nigeria already has a bad image mainly because of how they’ve been branded by others especially by Ghana, so it is time to reciprocate that by coming up with innovative ideas and strategies.

Citing some strategies for their mission to work effectively, the professor said “We’re highly skilled and highly talented and blessed people but many at time we lack strategy, Nigerians tend to lack strategy. You can have good skills, if you don’t know how to let people know it, it is there; dies, like having a factory full of items in the warehouse. If you don’t advertise it remains in the warehouse”.

“They have harassed us a lot, I know that... What I’m saying is we need strategies. I’ll suggest something which the embassy can think about; I know they know which they can do immediately at the Nigerians community. There is bad image for Nigeria; we can take it back through the press. We can reverse it. We have powerful Nigerian media stations, channels broadcast all over the world, there’s active online social media, the plot in Nigeria. Let them come here and run documentaries of the experiences of Nigerians and blast it all over the world. In three days Ghana would respond”.

According to the professor who says he was once a media person and has expertise in how it works, whatever agenda the Nigeria media set will work out positively as people believe every news item that comes from the media is the truth although that is not usually the case.

Advocating the need to extensively utilise this mode, he called on the Nigerian leaders to take advantage of this strategy as it will be the key to destroy the image of Ghana since Nigerians can’t be the only ones to be branded as bad or evil.

“I have been a media person, you cannot be here and suffering. Let the leaders get our media persons come here to cover what has been happening. Go to the student community, go to the business community, go to everywhere; come to the embassy. Go and confront the officials with the information, air it, within one week I can tell you part of worse happening. I’m sorry to say it but this is within us, the present government in Ghana came on the grounds of Nigeria bashing. I’ve listened to things some of their top leaders have said all over the world in major places. We did not take it back, if we take it back they will sit up, so media strategy one”.

“Use their own media; but you know something, I’ve been a pressman, there is no absolute truth in the media. The truth is truth as it is presented. Let us use our own media and get back to them. Let us see life cases, let our media with this story say we want to go to their prisons to see Nigerians, of course, they will turn you back, you broadcast it. And by the time you’re through run series of documentaries on Nigerians relations and sir we’ll take history”, he suggested.

He further revealed that there has been a long-standing rivalry between Ghana and Nigerian dating back to Kwame Nkrumah’s time, which is known by few indicating that it is about time Nigerians let Ghanaians know they are ahead in everything.

“That rivalry has been there because we don’t tell them the truth. They don’t know, historically there is that rivalry. Its sibling rivalry but the truth is that it’s a rivalry between an elder brother and a younger brother. It’s the rivalry all over Africa”.

Advising on how to make it work without being obvious, the professor said “Let’s take back our image, let’s take them on step by step in very subtle forms not frontal, not open”.

Watch the video below to know other strategies the professor came up with to completely destroy the image of Ghana to the international community.

Watch the video below by searching for it.

I believe the good Prof spoke thusly! I've seen the same traits of deflection, denial and inherent dishonesty too many times here to think otherwise. THE VERY FIRST POST HIGHLIGHTED THESE NEGATIVE TENDENCIES!

I am saddened by the continuous act of some of my compatriots to always engage in social media fight with fellow Africans, most notably our brothers and sisters from Ghana and Kenya.

It is even unfortunate that these countries Nigeria youths love to abuse on social media are doing better than our potentially great country in virtually all sphere despite the fact that we(as a country) have more revenues, potentials, and opportunities. If Nigerians are not aware of the superiority(in terms of living) of other Africans over us, I will have to educate them using Kenya as a case study.

While Nigerians have always pride in the self titled "African Giant" rhetoric, facts on ground shows otherwise. Though we generate more revenue than Kenya, which is 70% due to the gift of nature under our soil(Petrodollars), Nigerians still lag behind greatly in basic things when compared to the East African giant.

According to 2015 data from World Health Organisation, Nigeria's male and female life expectancy are 52years and 56 years respectively, meaning an average Nigerian is expected to die before he/she turns 60. Meanwhile, the expectancy for Kenyan male and female are 61 and 66 years respectively. Similarly, while Nigeria has the 10th highest infant mortality rate worldwide with average 72 deaths per 1,000 birth, Kenya's infant mortality rate is rated 52nd in the world with average 32 deaths per 1,000 births. This means it is safer to give birth in Kenya than in Nigeria, and an average Kenyan living in Kenya is expected to live longer than an average Nigerian living in Nigeria.

Though Nigeria has more tourism potential than Kenya, but Kenya is one of the choice destination for vacation in East Africa. While Nigeria managed to rake in $601 million as Tourism receipt(Revenue) in 2014, Kenya raked in $1.833 billion in the same year. Nigeria can't even boast of a National carrier meanwhile Kenya Airways, the National Carrier of Kenya boasts of 45 Aircrafts in their fleet with 4,000 workforce strength. In addition, Kenya Airways is reputed to be one of the best in Africa.

In Africa, Kenya is the leader of Mobile money. Nigeria is still still battling to get it right in the ICT sector with poor infrastructure, lack of power, lack of political will, and fantastically corruption.

At present Nigeria is experiencing recession in her economy, one would expect Nigerians to shun frivolties and seek for ways to turn the recession to prosperity instead of wasting productive hours fighting our African brethren over irrelevances. Why would one who is rationing his/her phone battery life due to epileptic power supply still spend the little battery life s/he got through his/her generator to abuse someone in Nairobi who is neither rationing his/her phone battery life nor is depending on generating set for power? There is no trophy or reward for social media fight, Nigerians should stop sending the wrong image to the world that our greatness lies in social media wars.

Nigeria is a great country with potentials, filled with great prospects, but we can never be great if we don't channel our time and resources to fix our country.

A word should be enough for the wise... May God Bless Us All, and Bless Nigeria

May be i can engage a little, It is not too clear what this Nigerian so called -professor'snis saying and what are is aim. But anyway, i can figure he Is trying to inform his audience that Nigerian tertiary students schooling in Ghana are actually receiving a less competitive degree. by trying to devalue the Ghana tertiary educational system. As you yourself suggested.

An another mmature ranting and unverified claim form him is about the 'supply' of manpower by Nigeria to Ghana! Here, is his objective to demonstrate his belief, no matter how unfounded that Ghana depends on Nigeria for manpower? ( very unattractive and unfounded statement)And is craziness continue, crazy by comparing Azikiwe to Nkrumah and to claims about which country between Ghana and Nigeria should have obtained independence first before the other! What is obvious is that the Nigerian so called professor bears in his heart a lot of anger and pain, if not hate, against Ghana. This seems to be the psychological foundation of his multi-form attacks on Ghana, which turn every corner, from Nkrumah, to independence, to quality of education, to school fees, to number of professors in universities, to manpower, to police officers' English, to Nigerians in Ghana prisons, to supposed Ghana's dependence on Nigeria, and to many, many more! This is a huge, tall list of anger and pain bro.

How he has managed to carry such a weighty load on his heart and mind must be itself a psychological phenomenon worth investigating psychiatrically! What makes his madness insane is that it is founded on a logic of irrationality and small-mindedness: measuring your worth against the weaknesses of others! If Ghana's weaknesses become the standards against which Nigeria measures its worth and value, then Nigeria has 'missed road' and if in his view, the tertiary schools in Ghana are inferior to Nigeria's, the university degrees from Ghana are less than 20% worth those from Nigeria, and still the Nigerian students not only are flocking to the schools in Ghana but also are willing to pay fees that are four times higher than those in Nigeria, then either his views are inconsistent with the facts or the Nigerian students are irrational! Either way, it is not Ghana's problem; it is Nigeria's! Perhaps.

The so called professor's mad ravings also put him in a category of a fool, it seems! If the universities in Nigeria are as good as he asserts, then his behaviour does not reflect it.

He actullly made a stupid statement( and that got my attention) He suggest Nigeria journalists to go and capture the experience of Nigerians living in Ghana and broadcast it to the air so the game of image spoiling can be reciprocated. What an insane prof.
i wont base much on what he said because Psychological as Ghanaians,
we think higher of ourselves and demand better because we deserve better.
thats is how we've managed to create our own standards

i actually consider his baseless statement has psychological condition. I wanted to let it go not until what he says about the UniversIty issue and Azikwe and inkrumah matter.

After 62 years of independence, he is still arguing that Nigeria should have/ would have/could have/ gotten independence before Ghana?? What a joke!!! I should have been a doctor, but I am not..!!

I even doubt his academic credentials. As far as I know, most of the Nigeria scholar hold Ghana qualification in a very high esteem. Even all well respected wole soyinka and the late Taye sholarin of blessed memory.

I dont blame him, I blame the university of Ghana for employing a dimwit as themselves

Ghanaians taught Profs from the US, UK, GERMANY, RUSSIA, JAPAN, CHINA who wants to return back and offer their services to the university are rejected because the current staff have this inferiority complex that make them riot each time because they fear, the returnees might make them jobless.

A Ghanaian problem that needs to be addressd that is the only reason why i think i will support the government decision to have a say in the administration of the universities in this country.

The application for registration as a dual citizen is made on Form 10 (Application For Registration As a Dual Citizen).

1. Qualification for Applying for Dual Citizenship

Citizen of Ghana who holds citizenship of another country in addition to citizenship of Ghana.
Provide the following:

Dual citizenship applications are processed by the Ministry of Interior, Ghana and currently take between six (6) and twelve (12) months to be processed;
Upon successful processing of the Dual Citizenship application, the applicant will receive a Dual Citizenship certificate and a Dual Citizenship ID Card.
It is an offence for a holder of dual citizenship to use two passports interchangeably. You should use only one passport. (British or Ghanaian) when travelling. When using the British passport you need not procure a Ghana visa. Present your passport along with the dual citizenship ID card to the Immigration Officer at the port of entry.
Holders of dual citizenship cannot hold certain specified offices in Ghana, including the following:

Ambassador/High Commissioner
Secretary to the Cabinet

Legon enjoy too much autonomous. Though good for staffs buy very bad for the nation and student. On this case of paying up retired staff arrears. They have been taken to court, if it were to be under the supervision of gov't. This will have been sort out. NDC handle them better. My opinion though.

If they go on rampage, all of west africa will drive Nigeria out.

I counted 6 skyscrapers in the picture. Eko Atlantic is coming up. Slowly but steadily. That place would be incomparable to anywhere in Africa when finished.

The Ghanaian character is some way

You can be a good person for 99 years and Ghanaians will sing your praise and make you a king
Just commit a single crime and see.
You'll get castigated and even rejected.
Even your bedroom conversation will become public knowledge as if someone placed a secret camera in your bedroom

If they could do anything, they would have done that long ago considering the fact that about 1 million of them were forcefully deported from Nigeria in the 80s.
But I think what is holding them back is the fact that Nigerians hold a big stake in the Ghanaian economy unlike when Ghanaians were here in Nigeria.

But having said this,I think it is unwise for some Nigerian bad eggs to keep dragging down the country's reputation in other countries. Lagos is right now hot for criminal elements and Ghana and other neighboring countries are the next ground for them to run too. These countries should also step up their security to combat the menace.
