1.Failing to Decelerate at Speed-Bumps and Potholes

Speed-bumps, potholes, and other surface blemishes can be highly destructive to a vehicle’s suspension and undercarriage parts if you fail to reduce your speed while passing over them it’s important you avoid speeding over bumps at all costs, drive over them cautiously.

2. Habitually Driving With Low Fuel

You shouldn’t be driving around with 2litre fuel in your tank all the times. Be sure to always fuel up all the way at every fill-up to prevent forcing your vehicle to use the old, mucky fuel at the bottom of the fuel tank. This will lead to engine damages and clogged filters.

3. Suddenly Starting and Stopping

Whether you’re in rush hour traffic or in a hurry, you shouldn’t resort to sudden starting and stopping over and over again. This habit puts a lot of pressure on the internal workings of the braking system and rotors, and significantly increase fuel consumption.

4. Driving With Poorly Inflated tyres

Proper tyre inflation is very important to the overall safety and performance of any vehicle. Poorly inflated tyres aren’t only unsafe, they eventually cause other damages to the car. Always Be sure your tyres are not over or under-inflated by checking the levels regularly with a manual tyre pressure gauge.

5. Neglecting Routine Maintenance

Regular scheduled maintenance, such as inspections and fluid chances, this is very important for your vehicle’s safety, performance, and longevity. Endeavor to have your car Serviced to avoid unexpected breakdown.

I hate the start and off at traffic. I just leave my car like that to be steaming. It saves more fuel.

I’ll be consistent in braking down at bumps going forward. I mostly do this whilst racing with a friend or when coming back late at night and kinda tipsy too. Not really intentional per say but some kidnappers or bad boys could block you at speed bumps.

Make sure your car has fully stopped before switching to reverse cos it weakens the gear box when you switch from drive to reverse while the car is still moving.

This makes no sense. You fuel pump supply line is located at the bottom of the tank, thats the only way you can still get fuel to the pump even when your tank is low. Think about it if it were in other other place, you will not be able to get fuel to the pump once the fuel fell below the level of the outlet. Therefore common sense would dictate that if your tank is dirty, you are going to get dirt in your fuel line whether your tank is full or low.

The first picture is a cutaway of the fuel tank showing the fuel pump assembly. 2nd picture shows a detailed diagram of a typical fuel pump assembly. As you can see, the fuel pump is located right at the bottom of the tank. if your sieve is dirty and clogged (i.e dirty tank), nothing can help you but washing your tank, full tank or no full tank.
