Hello scholars...
Pls I'm a bit skeptical about something and I'll really be glad if you guys can share more light on it...
I initially booked an appointment under the category B.. Because i intended to go for another Bsc program.. But unfortunately I've not bin given appointment date, and I already av my admission letter, so I decided to cancel B and booked under category A..(without ticking any box) To my surprise I got an appointment date withing 48hours..

Now I'm a bit confused.. because for some reasons, I didn't really do well in my first degree, as I graduated with a third class level of degree.

Which school and course did you apply for?

If you are assured of getting the admission at FAU, then I'll suggest you allow your school mail the transcript directly to them. Since it was the same transcript you certified and sent to them previously that was rejected, why do you want to send it again?

Thanks bro. But it was not rejected. Everything was acknowledged, then they requested I should tell the school to send them official transcript.

i got a mail from Tum horticultural science today that i ve a skype interview/Aptitude test next week ...what should i expect? what is the test like?
Questions can come from
1. Why you want to study the course ( basically like defending your motivation letter)
2. Your undergraduate project.
3. Any related academic question.

Wow...by this time Last year, i was sleeping here...what a Forum...i wish u all success....i remember the wait after interview ..lol....its well....a liitle tiny advice:

If the VO says "do u have any question for me?"

Say "I will love to use my time in enrolling for a german language class here in Lagos/abuja as i await ur response, do u think i should go ahead?"

Now if the VO says No, its not necessary(Nna i apologise) but if the VO says Yes excitedly, ur Visa is set(go and start packing) grin

Ps:German is everything here...learn learn learn the language(u can even do Nursing for free here if u know the language)

Okay. That's why I said "If" cos I wasn't sure and didn't want to conclude.

Since you're using BA, then you don't have a problem of verification.
Just chill till your AM drops. Or you might want to mail the Ausländer in Hannover

What are people doing with too many AL ?
Try like 3 schools for chances.
One AL is enough.

Stop wasting AL. With Time AL go cast for Nigeria!!!!
Statistics will show that admitted Nigerians most likely dont enroll because they have other options.

Lets be wise and cautious pls. Someone has 9 AL and still more to come

I swear, when we Nigerians do things, we keep thinking other people are dumb. Now other people will have to live with the consequences of such acts.

Guys, are there more requirements than what is stated on daad.de? For the tuition free schools and courses to be taught in English, is learning German compulsory?

Can someone volunteer to put me up to speed? Please. Let me PM you.

Thank you

guys with regards to vpd, this is the message on uni assist site about the school i applied HTW Berlin:
What happens after uni-assist has forwarded the application?
uni-assist check the documents according to criteria set by HTW Berlin. They will inform you of the result in writing by e-mail and by post. If all criteria are met they can forward your application to the university. Afterwards your application will be further reviewed by the university. The HTW Berlin itself is responsible for informing on admission.

Do i still have to forward VPD to the school myself or uni assist will do that? as the schools deadline is 30th june and i only just applied on the 14th of june
With what was written in this message, your application will be forwarded directly to your school.

Hi, but one would still have to send the certified documents to Uniassist in Hard copies right?
Yes.
Except for Potsdam that doesn't require certified copies. You can send ordinary photocopies for them.
But for the rest, certify.

Please I need information on how to start the admission process in any school in Germany, with English as their mode of teaching, no TOELF and No tuition fee. Please any good help will be needed. Thanks

Deustchemann:

You're in the right place.
You should start preparing for Summer 2020. Applications should be open from August upwards. In the meantime, let me suggest some things you should get done that will ease your chances wella.
1. Obtain your ND, HND , BSc Certificates and Transcripts from your school
2. Obtain a letter of English proficiency from your school too. Although, I will strongly recommend that you write IELTS or TOEFL alternatively.
3. Visit this link from time to time

https://www.daad.de/deutschland/studienangebote/international-programmes/en/result/?q=&degree%5B%5D=&lang%5B%5D=&fos=&cert=&admReq=&scholarshipLC=&scholarshipSC=&langDeAvailable=&langEnAvailable=&lvlEn%5B%5D=&cit%5B%5D=&tyi%5B%5D=&ins%5B%5D=&fee=&bgn%5B%5D=&dur%5B%5D=&sort=4&subjects%5B%5D=&limit=10&offset=&display=list

You will be able to search for plenty schools that you can apply to, as well as their mode of Application.

4. Visit www.uni-assist.de and open an account there. Incase you might need to apply through them.

5. Get a jotter and a good pen. As you're browsing through DAAD, write things down. Each school, course, mode of Application, deadline, semester fee, city and state the school is located, course coordinator email address. Keep the jotter handy and out of sight of people it won't be useful to.

6. When it is Application period, kickstart your applications.
If you need to certify, Visit high courts around you to certify photocopies. If you stay in Lagos, you can certify at the embassy for free.

I believe you already have your international passport, if you don't, you can start applying for one.
Also, ensure you have your means of sustenance Standby either by blocked account or German declaration of sponsorship.

Most importantly, Spend time reading through this thread. Start from page 1. Spending 3hrs daily to read here, you can cover all the pages under 2 weeks. Believe me, you'll be armed with excess information.

I wish you success in your endeavours.

It's a wonderful morning here smiley

Please, I saw Childhood studies on Uniassist and deadline to be July 15. I checked online but it wasn't the case, cos I couldn't find anything that relates to that. the only one I say was May 1st as deadline.
Please, any help so I can know if I should go ahead with the process on Uniassist or not. Thanks in Advance.

The week in which Uni-assist is sending the application to the school u will receive notification from Hochschulstart site becos the course is restricted one. During this time ur Uni-assist application status will be "Application will be forwarded to the university for further review". After 4 days u received Hochschulstart notification ur status on Uni-assist will change to "application sent to the university". Then after 2 days the university will check ur documents from their end to judge if it is valid or to reject. Once Hochschulstart notify u that ur application is valid that mean ur application is fine and it will take part in admission procedure.

Note that the deadline for application is July 15th so decision is likely to take place around end of July and first week of August (that is if u are not place on waiting list).

Best of luck!

Cheers!
