Yes, because why would you come and work in a Nigerian university then? Even if Nigerians would let an American get away with that rubbish, it doesn't mean everything else has to be that foolish and accept foreigners coming to look down on them

Likely because it’s an ECONOMIC decision...
And also many people (apparently unlike many NLers) like to broaden their worldview.

Meanwhile, not quite sure how proffering a subjective personal opinion about the comparative quality of university education equates to “looking down” on a country (but sadly it’s that sort of extreme crude xenophobia mentality that leads to the fracticide often witnessed throughout Africa), but nonetheless since this dude has actually PERSONALLY lectured in BOTH Nigerian and Ghanaian universities, he is probably in a much better position than most to make a rational and evidence-based comparison (than say you or I).

But he wasn't lieing. This is what I have been saying to Ghanaians in the last two posts on this forum that bothers on this issue. They have only two universities in Ghana that barely come close to all our federal unis. The rest are rubbish

Six minutes in: Apart from the point about Nkrumah...and the comments about 'Nigerians taking care of Ghanians...'....I see nothing offensive . He even was critical of Nigerian misbehaviour in Ghana.

Nine miniutes in: The comment about Ghanaian education being inferior to Nigerian education....was uncalled for and might have sparked off the annoyance.

I watched this video to the end

This is so sad

Everything the professor said is true

He never incited or instigated anything

He spoke about the need of the nigerian media to change the narative that Nigerians are bad

He spoke about how Nigerians parents are over charged in Ghana high school fees for lower quality education

He spoke about the need for effective communication between embassies and Nigerian community

He spoke about the community identifying the bad ones not just ignoring them , identify them and report them

He spoke about how Ghanaian universities rely on Nigerians for man power yet turn around and label us

He spoke about the need to report what Nigerians are experiencing, the media should visit prisons , investigate accusations and broadcast the reality versus the Ghanaian manufactured all Nigerians are bad narative

He said Nigerian universities are far better yet each Nigerian pays a minimum of $10,000 in university of legron there in Ghana for far lower education that every single federal university in Nigeria is far better than that university

Basically he called for what Nigerians are really suffering in Ghana to be exposed

Now this shows that alot headlines in Ghana sensationalizing Nigerians as criminals might actually be false

You've really done justice to that video thereby saving my scarce and exorbitant 9mobile data.
I salute you

Use this as an opportunity to get to know and meet me and i will change your beggarly life for good as i have done for many other Ghanaians.

Your Government is fully aware of my stay here and have given me their unhindered support through diplomatic plates. Your Police guard me when needed and whenever i travel to my farm in Upper Manya they come with me.

Try and come with your people and watch yourself get arrested for infringement of Diplomatic Dignity.

He should take over from that mediocre Minister of foreign affairs we have.

Really?.... Charity begins at home..... has he made such talks at home?...at his university?... if yes... no results... why go abroad to make such? I have a big problem with university students doing absolutely nothing to bring about any change for the betterment of all. They are the ones he should be putting fire in their bellies to change the image... the status quo. Worldwide... university students are almost always in the forefront for change... ours sit like cowards... treated like little children... year after year...no belly... no backbone. Maybe he tried and gave up... so he's trying to wake up those in Ghana....and hope they can make some waves. No doubt... what he is saying is the truth... but then again... even in such a small gathering... there is a traitor... the one who leaked the video... so how can Nigerians ever unite to fight for a noble cause? He is talking about correcting a bad image... and here is one adding on to the bad image.Divided we Stand United we Fall.

Igbo's usually go there to trade. So in an event of any onslaught we'll surely look out for ourselves before government intervention. Can't say so about you guys populating Ghanian universities as well as your numerous G boys loitering around Accra. So if shit hits the fan the bulk of theses indefensive Yoruba's will be the highest casualties.
Now you see why you need to remove that tribal rag off your head and speak against Ghanian Xenophobia.

Don't mind them. Lazy bunch. That was how one of them here was telling me he's a drilling consultant and he doesn't even know the amount of gas Nigeria sends to Ghana daily. I asked him to share his Linkedin name through a private chat and I'll share mine so we can know who's lieing and the dude got angry. The truth is this-They're envious of Nigerians because we are more intelligent, hardworking and resourceful.

What has Ghana achieved? You are obviously hardwired with stupidity. The last time we had a banter you asked me for my address in Ghana so you can fvck me up. Well here it is. I stay in Tantra Hill and own probably the largest farm in Asesewa which is in Upper manya Krobo among other businesses . If you wish to locate me just go to Asesewa and ask their chiefs about the Nigerian who was made a Chief in Akateng a year ago. I single handedly Graded the road leading to the "commercial river (Volta) in Akateng because my farm produce mostly gets transported out through that River and we are currently working on a commercial central market there.

Your people work for me and i pay them.

Left to you Ghanaians that access road would have been left as nasty as it has always been. My efforts to uplift that community where my farm is has earned me respect and honour because Nigerians are givers and hardworking Unlike you lazy bums who are always looking for who will do for you for free.

My name is Frank but your people fondly call me Frank Tetteh which is the name i am also called in Upper Manya.

Oya come and fvck me up. Ode!

The man have his facts, in fact, he spoke well. He was even critical of Nigeria and our ways. He didn't even dwell on us being good. He said we're both good and bad like every other community. And he asked; why concentrate on the bad side of Nigerians and downplay our good side?

Nkrumah did come to Nigeria on the invitation of Nnamdi Azikiwe- the Zik of Africa. It appears he financed his trip to US as well gave him necessary connections with conscious people in the US. Such people (though not mentioned in the documentary) include Marcus Garvey, Leo Hansberry, and others.

Listen attentively from 4:20 - 6:30 of below Nkrumah documentary, where they discussed Nkrumah's role models and influences.

Africa's Black Star - The Rise and Fall of Kwame Nkrumah (Full Film)

On Nigeria having a better system of education, that can't be true. If that was the case, they'll be more Ghanaians in Nigeria going to school.

Regarding Nigerians committing crime in Ghana, its up to the Ghana law enforcement agencies to arrest, prosecute and jail such people. There's no need for all the media hype.

Whether he likes or not, he is making a political statement that might create tension, if not properly checked.

That said, Ghana needs to be dealt with for the coordinated attacks on Nigeria's interest in their country.

Big brother to small brother view is the reason why Nigeria and Ghana are probably the closest countries in the west african sub region. Ghana is sorrounded on every side by french countries who do not like Ghana and Nigeria is the only "almost" co English speaking plus co ex british colony like Ghana.

Ghana depends on Nigeria for a lot of things. Like the professor said, in the area of education, Ghana depends heavily on Nigeria especially in the area of English or Brofu as you people call it.

There are places you will go to in Ghana and speak the simplest of English and what you will get would be shouts of praise of Brofu gbi Brofu Gbi everywhere because to them you just did the extra ordinary by speaking English.

If not for your current President education was a taboo for most families until he introduced free jhs and shs education. Now Nigerians are in high demand when it comes to teaching English in ghana. Our English to the average Ghanaian is exotic and because they always want to compete with Nigeria, our English teachers are like gold now to you.
Boss, sorry oo.. Are the words above product of your handy work??.. Just asking oo, because I'm obviously at sea about what u've typed above...Which of the Ghana are u referring to if I may ask??

The man is my hero but he chose a wrong location to hear his views. He is lucky that he was not secretly deal with by the Ghanian secret police. He said nothing wrong, he is a passionate and patriotic Nigerian. Re-echoing what somebody has said, he truly deserves to be our next Foreign Affairs Minister or at minimum Nigeria Ambassador to Ghana. He will teach Ghana some diplomacy ethics. To the traitor, I guess most likely the man that asked for the Prof no, he has betrayed his country men but He shouldn't rejoice ....

See, if government follows the man's advice, Ghanaian authorities would deal with Nigerian criminal specifically and decisively, not engaging in blanket foolishness because they know they won't be challenged.

If Naija puts travel restriction on Nigerians going to Ghana, their tertiary educational system would collapse. How many Ghanaian professors do they have? Can you remember any? How many Ghanaians can afford to pay for universities the way Ghanaians do?
