It's sad the successive governments did not continue from where Donald Duke stopped.

Once upon A Time cleanest state in Nigeria during Donald Dukes era.
The retrogression of that state is beyond shocking... That randy-looking crook that calls himself a professor needs to be tried before a village oracle, tortured and sent on exile. undecided

It's not about the president, it is about you and I.... I hardly drop a tiny tissue paper on the ground because I know it is wrong, I carry all empty bottles and plastic bags home so I could dump it in the bin properly. If we don't cultivate this sensible habit, this is usually the result.

You forget that the president didn't throw those lacacera bottles in the gutter.

As long as we maintain a culture of defenestration, and general disregard for cleanliness, we will continue to have this issue.

Shut up.

Since you are a patriotic Nigerian, go and clear the gutters as part of your civic duties.

Do it free..

Yes na... If they are okay to live with such within their living, working environment, even major roads, what makes you think they would mind putting up with it in their homes...

Soon, one will be able to smell the wonderful town from Imo or Anambra... cry

Change starts from when people start seeing wrong in things and talking about it. Don't derail the process of change

I had always said it in this forum that most educated ones in governance especially as governors on Nigeria have always been inept. Examples are Fayemi, akeredolu et Al

But, isn't that a shame, and a gross indictment on the nation's tertiary educational system?.. That means our universities don't build graduates of exceptional character, which is in itself bordering on sacrilegious.

This is unheard of in other African countries: A professor did fairly well as Liberian president; professors have successfully led Ghana to an enviable height... Everything is wrong with this country. undecided

This is MCC by Ibok street. This drain is 1.2m deep by 0.8m wide. I don't and will not blame the government of the day totally for the volume of debris in the drains. I blame us. We have failed in playing our very little part.

1. Stop dumping refuse in drains.

2. Residents should move fallen tree branches and trees after cutting them to points storm water can't move them into drains. Especially if they don't have the resources to evacuate them.

The milk is spilt. What is the way forward? I have had to walk around these zone( Ikot Efa, Parliamentary, Ibok Street, Effioette, MCC, Ikot Uduak, Akai Efa) during heavy rain and my deduction is that the flooding on Parliamentary road spreading into Ibok Street and MCC are partly because of these blocked drains during heavy rains.

I plead with the government to look into this issue as this is a high brow area. The rainy season is gearing up. Let's safe face.
Dirty pigs like lagosians
Not all lagosian sha!
But u need to wetin most house wife dey do during raining period. Some go carry used motal and pestle throw inside rushing water. Some go carry spoilt tv, video tape, blender, broken glass etc inside the gutter. But na plastic bottles be there king

They had the best education. Anyone whose birth fell on 1970s downward had the best of everything. Education inclusive. But '75 upwards are the short changed ones. However , governance is more than dy/dx and not about Pythagoras theorem or habacus promulgation ... Governance is practical. They tend to attach too much due process thus affect the North gritty of governance and they are too elistic nd big manly to listen to the best advice.

This affects them grossly. Anyone that will be successful as a politician in Ng must be grassrooted. Eg, Awolowo, Bola Ige, Tinubus, Ganduje even if hes corrupt. He is doing well, Wike Fayose etc. These are the ones who left education behind and harken to the yeaenings.
