Please how long does it take to be called for the assessment center/panel interview after documentation for audit?

And I have a friend of mine who wants to apply but he has wrote the test when he was in the university but he is done now, could he be prevented to proceed in the recruitment process even if he passed the test?

It depends on your department, there is no fixed time for that. And as for your friend, you can only write the kpmg graduate trainee test once in your life.

KPMG RECRUITMENT PROCESS - ALL THE INFORMATION YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Stage 1 – Assessment Test
This involves GMAT multiple choice questions in mathematic (quantitative reasoning), English (Verbal aptitude) and current affairs.
After test candidates will be required to write essay on given topics usually not less than 500 words. The KPMG Study Pack on Q and A App will help you in your preparations (Install Q and A App from Playstore https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tolu.qanda)

Stage 2 – Business awareness
At this stage, candidates are given sets of situational based test questions where they are asked what they will do when faced with certain situation. It is quite tricky as it is not timed and there are no right or wrong answers only best practice and morally correct options. An easy way of passing this to be familiar with the Company’s 7 core values and to apply them in each situation

The Values are
1. We lead by example.
2. We work together
3. We respect the individual
4. We seek the facts and provide insight
5. We are open and honest in our communication
6. We are committed to our communities
7. Above all, we act with integrity

Stage 3 - Assessment Centre
Here candidate faces a panel of interviewers and are given 3 tasks
1. One (1) minute presentation on given topics. Candidates who fail to impress or that are incoherent may be disallowed from proceeding at this stage
2. Group exercise: candidates are put in groups and are given a situational puzzle to decipher. Each team member is given different clues that can be read out but not passed around. All of them are to solve the task in about 10 to 20 minutes. Contributions from all members are very important; no right or wrong answers too but how they are able to work as a team.


3. One-on-one interview: candidates are asked series of questions to test their competence and integrity. Questions like teams they have worked, impact they have made in school or during service etc.

Stage 4 – Documentation
Candidates will be required to submit copies of their credentials for verification to prevent falsification of documents. Candidates who might have taken the test before are also screen and disqualified.

Stage 5 – Partner’s interview
These comes in various ways and styles but most times a “STAR” interview approach is taken. Candidates are asked questions and they are expected to answer with relevant Situation they have experienced, how that applies to the

Task (question asked), Action(s) they took and the Result thereafter.
S – Situation
T – Task
A – Action
R - Result

Stage 6 – Medicals
Successful candidates are then required to medicals test before resuming. No one is dropped at this stage just work ethics for safety reasons

I don't know how it's different from others as I don't really know what happens in other departments. For my AC, they put everyone in a room together while we were waiting for the interviewers to show up, after that we were asked to go to different rooms based on our departments. There were about 20 of us present and only 3 of us were for MC, Audit had the most people. When we got to the room. We waited for a while and we were called one after the other for a panel interviews. My panel consisted of 3 female interviewers from MC, I can't really remember their roles exactly but there were 2 managers among them. They asked me questions like; why kpmg? Why MC? Have I ever invested money and lost it? When have I ever exemplified leadership? Why would I be valuable to their team etc. it wasn't too tense, it was like having a conversation. After that round, they called all 3 of us in for a group exercise. We sat at a table opposite the panelists table, they gave each of us a sheet which had a case study scenario on it. Ours was about a well established company trying to introduce a new product into the market and what factors they should consider. We were expected to discuss it amongst ourselves as though the interviewers weren't present for about 15 mins or so (I can't remember). After that a member of the team was expected to present to the panelists on behalf of the team. Nobody did so I volunteered. I presented but ensured my team members were part by including them in the presentation. After this, the panelists randomly asked us questions about our presentation l. After that, we were asked to leave the interview room and go back to the room in which we were waiting. We were then summoned one by one and taken to a separate room and given a topic m on which we were to present individually. I was alone in the room alone and given the sheet with the topic and a blank sheet to make notes, I was not allowed to take any of these sheets with me to the actual presentation. My topic was about how same sex marriage was made illegal in Nigeria and whether or not I feel that is right. I was called into the interview room to by which point another panelist had joined,a man making 4 in total. I gave my presentation in under 5 minutes they kept questioning me over and over on the topic and finally it was over. I wasn't allowed to go back to the waiting room where others were. I had to leave immediately. When I got downstairs someone ran after me to tell me the panelists wanted me to come back. When I got there they asked me what I would do if I wasn't accepted, I answered and was asked to leave. The AC occurred on Friday by Saturday morning I had gotten a success email. I hope this is clear and helpful enough.
