The Federal Government of Nigeria, under the N-Power Creative Programme, is addressing the challenge of unemployment, using the creative sector and particularly, the animation subsector. Generally, N-Power is designed to help young Nigerians acquire and develop life-long skills to become solution providers in their communities and to become players in the domestic and global markets.
Through N-Power, young Nigerians will be empowered with the necessary tools to go on and create, develop, build, fix and work on exceptional ideas, projects and enterprises that will change our communities, our economy and our nation. The N-Power programme is for all eligible Nigerians looking to work gainfully. The initial programmes have been designed for young Nigerians between the ages of 18 and 35.

The strategy for the N-Power Creative is to put our creative industry on the global radar as exporters of world-class services and content in the animations sector. It is a 3-Month programme with a 1-Month in residency training and a 2-Month project phase where participants will collaborate in completing coursework using the skills they’ve developed during the training phase.
The programme has been segmented into the following modules

1. Animation
2. Storyboarding
3. Scriptwriting
4. Voice Acting
5. Post Production

Participants will be trained by experts in the various fields and equipped with the tools and resources they need for learning and work. Through this programme, the Nigerian youth will be exposed to various global platforms for online work and will take advantage of new opportunities in the virtual economy. Leveraging its strength, we have the opportunity to bypass the limitations of the national labour market.

At the end of the training, it is desired that the spark for domestic production will be catalysed as well as the groundwork to make Nigeria compete in the outsourcing market.
