I agree with you but I also feel making Grammy the biggest award is also bound by inferiority complex. People who vote for Grammy nominees are humans like you and I and don't have two heads. Every award is as valuable as Grammy to me we mustn't live by the standard of any body.

The one and only internationally respected musician in Naija is Lagbaja omo Baba mukomuko.

I visited an European Restaurant in a small town recently and to my surprise, a local radio station played Lagbaja's music among others. I quickly announced to everyone at the restaurant that the music is Nigerian, not only African.

I know you are referring to wizkid , with this post , firstly I want you to know that both Femi kuti and wizkid have only been nominees they've never won the Grammy's, it doesn't matter the category , and how many times , even if you make it to the final 23 times in football , you are not different from those who bounced out in the group stage !!!
Now it's even better to win MTV's than to be nominated and lose in whatever award , but Inferiority complex won't allow you see front ... Jcole and Nas haven't won the Grammy's , Cardi b has one , I think any sane rap lover knows who's better , Rihanna has topped the billboard chart the highest number of times. yet she has never won song of the year...
Eminem , Sean Paul , Kanye West even Rihanna and a whole lot of music greats , have never had a world cup performance , yet Pitbull and Shakira have performed in Brazil 2014 and South Africa 2010 respectively , does that make them greater than those listed above , No !
