The former governor dropped the hint at an event in his Camp Neya home in Igbere to thank his constituents for voting him into the Nigerian Senate.

He said: “Our people did not support APC. We did not vote for the president and that is what we are paying for.

“We are not entitled to anything when we did not vote for APC so we cannot ask for the Senate President or Deputy President.

“I am not only a senator for Abia north, I am a senator for Abia and Federal Republic of Nigeria because I was elected to make good laws for the whole Nigeria,” he said.

Mr Judas Igbos don’t need their juicy appointment or help. Left alone, Igbo people can do without the federal Gov’t. After all you guys have been in power since the civil war, the eastern region is far more developed than north and south west. Igbos task themselves to develop their community. If the government gives them the chance, they will come together and build that second niger bridge. You all know that. Imo state indigenes built the airport at Owerri when the FG refused to do and the the Gov Sam Mbakwe didn't want to use resources meant for issues like education, electricity etc to build an airport. That's how Igbos roll.

When OBJ was elected president in 1999 did the SW vote massively for PDP. People like Kalu are desperate for political offices. His people have defined their political direction but he believes his survival is linked to the APC. His people want restructuring & resource control which will make their lives better. What special benefit will the office of the Senate President or Deputy Senate President be to the SE? Ekweremadu was the Deputy Senate President for 4 years in the last Senate, has the construction of the second Niger bridge been completed? Any reasonable government that is ready to serve the people does not give unreasonable excuses but hits the ground running.

If you claim to be a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria elected to make good laws for the whole of Nigeria, so also is the President elected to execute those laws for the whole of Nigeria and not selected based on some archaic voting pattern.
