The northenn region is the poorest in Nigeria, not just the poorest, but also characterized with violence, kidnapping and bandits.
The Yorubaland is just slightly better than the north, with nothing to show even after producing the first president in the last 16-17years. The only outstanding state in yorubaland depends on business establishments, owned by mainly, the same Igbos you see as the unfortunate ones.

the previous government made sure enough money was in circulation. They made sure the economy was stable, the made sure Naira value was stable at 190 per dollar,
thereby favouring our business across the country, bringing more customers, and making import easy and cheaper.
