I recently watched Shazam and something kept bugging me about the movie.
The kid who played shazam was so different from Zachary Levi.
The kid appeared to be quite stoic and reserved, yet when he changed to Zachary Levi it was almost like he became a different character. He was more like an average class-clown type of kid - a vibe we never got when he was in his child form.

You could argue that he became different because he now has super powers, yet, when he turns to a kid, he goes back to his old Self.
I found it very difficult to believe that those two were playing the same person.

I would say that the best part of the movie was the end credit with the animation. It was quite funny and meta.

Al in all, the movie was quite inoffensive, average and highly forgettable. I seriously doubt anyone will be viewing this movie more than once.

A sequel is coming out soon with a black Adam film which people are expecting.

I know of a friend that I recommended the movie too. She doesn't watch foreign movies. So I wasn't sure how she would react to it.

Guess what, she loved it so much that she thanked me and was recommending it to others too.

As I said I m giving my unbiased review.

this is the best thing coming out of DCEU. This movie was so real. This movie deserves a billion dollars not that piece of trash called Aquaman. DC messed up by not releasing this good family movie during Christmas .

As someone who has read all Shazam comics since Geoff Johns started writing shazam, the casting was 100% accurate, the story was good that I didn't check whether the CGI is bad or not, or even notice whether everywhere is dark(as usual), the humor were well placed. Characters development were good.
Some people are saying they copied power rangers which is not true , Shazam family appeared before power rangers.
Also love the fact they referenced fawcott (the original owner of shazam that DC destroyed )
where were these people when DC were making trash.

I must confess I really enjoyed this movie
Shazam family casting was just accurate with the comics and the story was just too real.

my rating will come in two forms
1. as a casual moviegoer

And I watched it in 4DX !!!!!!!!!

2. As a comicbook fan

Asiiiin...the general consensus is that the film is great and fun to watch...well everyone is free to choose whatever one likes...but seriously cant they just watch the movie without thinking about what snyder would have done with it? How did snyder even get this much ardent followers?

2. Character look is very correct. Luthor hair was later shaved. He look like luthor but more crazy (I assume that was pre luthor)

3. It fulfil despite just building fan base. They made made around 1 billion. That was more than expectation.

4. DC are just entering the movie industry fully. Check other areas. Like games, animation, comics, they beat marvel. Marvel us just lucky for people to like their style of movie.

5 that's not it. People loved him but Luthor twisted it during desert raid and the guy that broke his leg. He was already known

6 batman has a lot of names. Batsy, Gotham knight dark knight bat of Gotham etc

7 wonder woman already had a standalone movie. Before the movie. She started from where Lex luthor invited batman to his company.

Tbh marvel have more lucky in the movie industry. But all the DC movie from batman trilogy, mos, bvs, this Stephen wolf movies too. I love me some marvel but DC all day man.

The synder guy is a snake that is using his gullible followers to sabotage DC.

This people are now filled with hate and were planning to sabotage DC movies but confusion was set into their mist.

This is the same Tonyspike that was trying to give synder the credit in Aquaman and wonder woman films in the post below some months before shazam despite we all know that synder had no real input in those films.

If Shazam made huge profit they would have looked for a way to tie Snyder's name to it.
