I am confused on which phone to buy......... Samsung Galaxy A20 or Xiaomi Redmi Note 7. They both have competitive specs and prices too. |
Re: The Galaxy A Series! by olayinkajnr(m): 4:30pm On Jun 23, 2019 |
Princekenuk: Well, the A20 has nothing on the RN7. I know some people will mention AMOLED but the RN7 is far better. Even the A30 is trying to compete with RN7. But never A20. 1 Like |

Mkmoney:Yh, not Google's upgrade, but theirs. Using infinix note 3 pro that i use for example, it came with os 6.but the highest one can upgrade to, is os 7. The installed os for note 4 also is os 7, upgradeable to os 8, etc. But for dem Samsung, and the likes they can move two OS above |
Re: The Galaxy A Series! by okikiosibodu(m): 5:08pm On Jun 23, 2019 |
noblefarm:Yes.... Using the "cast" feature. I casted visuals from a Samsung a20 to my infinix phone using it.. So if you get a TV with wireless features, it is a yes for a 30,a50 and a70 |

zamanii:Now, this is the part I say you should speak English (though you did lot of justice). Thank you for the use of layman's words. Is it certain that the models marketed here, are the ones we need? |

Re: The Galaxy A Series! by jboixxx: 6:33pm On Jun 23, 2019 |
okikiosibodu:Majorly, it's the network bands, #of SIMs and ROM/RAM. Some models are for produced for service providers (not sure though). Better to go for the Global version cuz it'd support most bands. 1 Like |

okikiosibodu: Modem and baseband are simply the software configurations needed to browse. They are installed based on country/region basis. The A205F/DS as far as I know is the one made for the African market and that's the model you need. The specifications in all the models are the same 1 Like |

Greetings, I just got the Samsung A20 last week.am having issues searching for wifi networks . |
Re: The Galaxy A Series! by okikiosibodu(m): 10:14pm On Jun 23, 2019 |
jboixxx:That explains why many of our phones can't work in developed countries esp in UK and US. I have known(it couldn't be a prejudice/ assumption) Samsung and I phones to work globally , but with this clarification, couldn't it mean some of Samsung's products might not work in some parts of the world? If yes, is there a remedy without having to change the device? Also, is it only the model we need in Nigeria that is being sold in Nigeria? |

olayinkajnr: Why and how is it better please?? |
Re: The Galaxy A Series! by jboixxx: 11:04pm On Jun 23, 2019 |
okikiosibodu:1. It's possible especially for the models with 'different versions' 2. There's no remedy but to change device if one must enjoy (nearly) full functionality 3. Officially, only models that meet the Nigeria bands/requirements are available. No harm in asking the vendor for clarifications/assurances though. 1 Like |

Re: The Galaxy A Series! by okikiosibodu(m): 5:34am On Jun 24, 2019 |
bennyblings:I'll suggest you try hosting hot spot from. A phone, and then you search for that hot spot using your A20. And when doing this, get a third phone you also use as a "control experiment". If the other phone detects the hot spot and yours doesn't,, then truly your device has issues. You might have to co tact the vendor you got it from or Samsung support. You can also Google the error message. By the way, what error message is it displaying? You can try out these links https://www.samsung.com/au/support/mobile-devices/cant-connect-to-wifi-network/ https://www.technobezz.com/android-wont-connect-to-wi-fi/ https://www.getdroidtips.com/common-samsung-galaxy-a20-problems/ 1 Like |
