Honestly, I really disagree with you here. "The man indebt is always weak, dependent and easily manipulated; turn that around for a country in debt. " I also like you to know that, 'its not a single tree that makes a forest.' Countries get loans to develop infrastructures, high technologies etc., the UAE, European countries, Asians & even countries from southern and northern America are not left out. African countries, likes of our dear country "Nigeria", get loans from this guys to finance elections, campaigns; even finance executive luxuries. And in the end start servicing bad debts. Even the Chinese people didn't become great doing that. So my brother, the USA is actually sounding a wake up call to Nigeria mostly especially& Africa at large. Because Chinese lenders do that just for business and no man wants to lose money in business. God bless you. |

PoliteActivist:"Pickets", I assume you mean pockets, if so, the answer is we, the Nigerians. I'll explain. Atiku campaigned that he will sell our golden egg laying NNPC, so what did we Nigerians do? We voted for another 4 years of sai bubu from Daura under whom we already suffered 4 years and know we'd suffer another 4 years. That, is what we do, we sacrifice, despite all the lies you might read on here about how we are short term and all. As you might know, we don't tell the masses why we do oro - or you might not know if you are not Yoruba or ever lived in a village. That's why you, SIRTee15, would ask me to "Start by burning down your corrupt politicians making life miserable for u guys" as if the "corrupt politicians" are the only leaders and are aliens from out of space and not we ourselves are the "guys" leading ourselves the best way we can and know how to. Those factories you spoke about, for instance, the one you claim are "maltreating their nigerian staffs", the staff they kidnapped off the street, do you mean, or the ones who begged to work there? If China buys up a uni or any other Nigerian national asset and treat it like they don't care what we think then we will aluta their chinko asses out of town, except only a person completely ignorant about 5000 year old China, having gotten their knowledge from what they likely read on the web, would think China is so stupid and shortterm thinking like 69 year old Nigeria! Here is a very good History of China. Episode 1 will directly download from here. And heres the blob of the amazing one I'm currently on. budaatum: As we say in China, "the person in the pit does not see as far as the one on a hill" so when you know about China apart from what you heard in the news, please yell at me. I'll be willing to talk. |

LarryBee1k: See how we are comparing China and Naija? That's how it should be. Compare two third world countries. Not comparing China and US - apples and oranges |

Re: US Warns Nigeria, African Countries Over Debt Burden. by PoliteActivist: 9:19pm On Jun 24, 2019 |
budaatum: So naive? What's wrong you?? History of China! How about history of Africa - we taught the world. We are talking of how things are today and u are talking history. You know nothing about China. You think it is voting. The Party has 1.4 billion Chinese subdued with no dissent, nobody saying pim, and you think they can't subdue 180 million Nigerians. When they have all your info and can monitor everything and can shut down Naija cyber space at will, I'll know how u will organise and mobilise that huge rebellion |
Re: US Warns Nigeria, African Countries Over Debt Burden. by PoliteActivist: 9:27pm On Jun 24, 2019 |
lazarusokafor90: China is 7 times Nigeria in population but 10 times in land mass. See below

PoliteActivist:The Chinese that I meet do not go on about this "Chinese subdued with no dissent", quite a lot of them are happy with their lot, so I can't understand where you get the impression they are being kept in bondage from. You do know China is no Kim's Korea right? As for Nigeria history, could you tell me your understanding of the Nigerianisation Act and its relevance to the topic at hand? It is Nigerian history after all. The time when we could be enslaved has long passed as our own history books show. We may not have a lot of rebellion but I doubt the youths of today can be so easily subdued as their parents were, especially in this digital age when we can easily learn history. No chinko is coming to enslave Nigeria because, it in no way fits with China's longterm goals, and it wouldn't fit in with our goals either. 1 Like 1 Share |

budaatum: Do u know in China they don't have Google, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, YouTube, and countless other apps the rest of the world take for granted. Do u think it's by choice? The Party decides what's best for you. Your job is to demonstrate that you are very happy with it, with no hint of dissent. That's what's meant by subdued. Digital age! They will monitor everything u do on the web and also can shut down Naija cyberspace when they wish. |

LarryBee1k: Lie, lie. In China you can't talk about China the way you are talking about Nigeria. They will put you in re-education and throw away the key. Totalitarianism, one party state, is simply no good and we don't want it in Naija. Nice arguing with ya.

Re: US Warns Nigeria, African Countries Over Debt Burden. by linearity: 11:25pm On Jun 24, 2019 |
bro4u: You clearly don’t understand US debt. Unlike Africa countries, US don’t go and borrow money, all US debts are paper debts. US simply create treasury notes, then go to the market and sell the notes. Note holders get paid interest and when they are tired of holding the notes, they go into the same market and sell them to another individual and the price of the note at each varies depending on the strength of US economy and other external factors. Africa countries borrow money with stringent requirements and conditions and also consequences if they don’t pay back as agreed. |

LarryBee1k: Nairaland proves u are lying. We bash Naija constantly including u. I once listed a loooong list of everything wrong with 9ja and I call our leaders thieves all the time . It is very easy to trace any of us with our phones. Yet I have never heard pim from govt and I I'll never hear anything no matter what I say. Try anything like that in China! |
