An average Nigerian citizen cannot sustain a rational argument. They always resort to abuse. Ay and Basketmouth filled auditoriums for shows in London since the fall of last decade. Does it mean they are popular comedians in London? Nope. They are the best in Nigeria but have a particular and minute audience in England and the audience largely consist African immigrants and few of their English friends.

In my opinion there is nothing wizkid or Davido is doing that Psquare or D'banj didn't do. If you want to rate them as known around the world because of international collaborations then D'banj had the likes of Kanye West, Snoop Dogg work with him. He even signed as a Good Time artiste (Kanye West's record label) and performed shows in America side by Side with Kanye West and those top artistes then. He was even in Akon's clique. Same with the defunct Psquare. Rick Ross, T. I collaborations and that Akon clique. The Psquare brothers did beat indigenous London Artistes to win a one million dollars cash prize in one musical competition then. They always did perform that Michael Jackson pop dance that thrilled the Foreign audience then.
Despite their achievements you wouldn't compare them with American and British artistes who are citizens.
The hype around Wizkid and Davido is big because of their career rivalry and the popularity of social media. Davido fans will always want to present Davido as more popular and vice versa. Like a religion, when you tell them the truth from their enclaves that they (their artistes) are not big outside English speaking African countries like the Nigerian media portray them to be, they begin to attack you mentioning how broke you are than wizkid, how they can buy your family, how unpopular you are and so on. The real people who have first hand experience of their sojourn abroad wouldn't say anything because of the hostility and fear of abuse by their Nigerian followers.

This is the same Drake who used Barnaboy, used wicked to gain more fame around the world. If not that wizkid was smart enough to have publicized it that he featured in Drake music, I am sure no one would have known. He is a smart naija guy.

without any sentiment, is Wizkid Popular in the US, or is he a bigger Artist than Seanpaul?

Artist are to be compared by professional DJs and they dont just single out wizkid... all this sentiment and childishness brings nothing but ridicule to Hustling Nigeria.. do you think if US DJs blacklist wizkid any US radio station would play his work as an artist ... any before you go on yaping fvck US ask your self why our artist go there on tours and media runs.... Think smartly bro , this isnt patriotism just sinking your fellow country man with ignorance

You have an inferiority complex. When Beyonce fans go wild about anything Bey, It's all Ok but when wizkid fans put a disrespectful DJ in his place, all of Nigerians indiaspora are in trouble. Talking of a very unknown DJ o

You are missing the point.
Even if Wizzy is unpopular, we dont want to hear it. And anyone who dares to say something like that even if true is a hater we must come for. This is why we are fans.He is our African hero.

God bless you for this hard truth... I wish the slow-witted ones will take the time to read what you put up there... Said the same thing in the previous Harrysong post, and they started throwing tantrums. Buncha Kids!

Ironically, when it comes to moving this nation forward, and addressing leadership failures, everyone shuns patriotism for ethnicity... And you wonder why we keep moving backwards.
