An average Nigerian citizen cannot sustain a rational argument. They always resort to abuse. Ay and Basketmouth filled auditoriums for shows in London since the fall of last decade. Does it mean they are popular comedians in London? Nope. They are the best in Nigeria but have a particular and minute audience in England and the audience largely consist African immigrants and few of their English friends.

In my opinion there is nothing wizkid or Davido is doing that Psquare or D'banj didn't do. If you want to rate them as known around the world because of international collaborations then D'banj had the likes of Kanye West, Snoop Dogg work with him. He even signed as a Good Time artiste (Kanye West's record label) and performed shows in America side by Side with Kanye West and those top artistes then. He was even in Akon's clique. Same with the defunct Psquare. Rick Ross, T. I collaborations and that Akon clique. The Psquare brothers did beat indigenous London Artistes to win a one million dollars cash prize in one musical competition then. They always did perform that Michael Jackson pop dance that thrilled the Foreign audience then.
Despite their achievements you wouldn't compare them with American and British artistes who are citizens.
The hype around Wizkid and Davido is big because of their career rivalry and the popularity of social media. Davido fans will always want to present Davido as more popular and vice versa. Like a religion, when you tell them the truth from their enclaves that they (their artistes) are not big outside English speaking African countries like the Nigerian media portray them to be, they begin to attack you mentioning how broke you are than wizkid, how they can buy your family, how unpopular you are and so on. The real people who have first hand experience of their sojourn abroad wouldn't say anything because of the hostility and fear of abuse by their Nigerian followers.

Thank you ..lemme break your heart

Usa is a big country with different genre of music ok ragga Dancehall music sell faster there than our afrobeat afropop that is trying to gain ground there

Wizkid is not very known in new York like that alone not to talk of California state

America have different type of people who listen to different kind of songs

Some white folks won't even listen to anything rap music or music from Africa

So if you think your wizkid is too popular in America your head no correct he is just trying to gain fame there even Davido and the rest they are also

To me Sean Paul is bigger than wizkid in USA

Sean Paul is not known here? Lol. Sean Paul at his peak was known all over the world and more even more popular than most American artists then. US artists literally ran after him for collaborations then.

Wizkid of today is not up to 10% of Sean Paul in his prime. Stop disrespecting SP. SP broke into the American market. Wizkid is unable to do that.

Yes u are right bro, but it quite difficult for African artists, wizkid is trying is best sr, the young man deserves some accolades

Over a million people have been protesting an unfavorable bill in Hong Kong for weeks now. Hundreds of thousands of citizens in different parts of the world are standing up for their rights even unto the point of death but we are bothered about the opinions of a DJ concerning WizKid. I'm still trying to see how WizKids pride/life would have any lasting effect on the lives of 99% of the population.
There's nothing wrong in being proud of our own but in a country where their are so many problems that even the police have turned themselves to demigods, anybody's opinion about wizkid should be the least of our worries.
WizKid is not out there fighting for our rights, he's not risking anything for the average Nigerian, he's out there enjoying the life his fame and money provides for him. why are we puffing ontop something so trivial, when there are many things in this country wey we suppose dey para about make government no say enough is enough.
Anyway, it is well...

Social media should be taken away from Nigerian youths at home, they are too immature and lack emotional intelligence.
I'm sure the guy must have read the dumb comments and had a good laugh off of.

Hahaha, One lesson the world ought to know is that only a Nigerian can mess with another Nigerian, no foreigners allowed in our issues, I'm sure the DJ's, who have been identified as DJ City, and Ciphasounds has learnt the hard way after thousands of Nigerians stormed their instagram pages to vent their anger on them after they declared that Nigerian Afro pop artiste, Wizkid is unknown and owes Drake for the little exposure he has managed to attain.
