Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested a man who specializes in hugging his victims before stealing their phones.


The suspect, Olasukanmi was arrested at Ikeja under Bridge on Monday, June 25, 2019, after it was discovered that he and his gang members are fond of stylishly hugging any individual they come across at public gatherings before stealing their phones from them.


According to the authorities, the suspect will be charged to court.

John brother wey Dey stay in front of ur house...To make d matter worse,Na redeem church Dey in front of my house. He now said no wahala if u no sabi I shld epp him greet John...not knowing he had accomplished his mission! After some wen I checked my pocket ,phone don waka oooo!

RRS should please go to Yaba. There are many crazy fellows over there. Till now, I don't know how my phone disappeared from my pocket on Saturday.

Wow.. bad memory. This happen to me in akoka many years ago. it was around thr time gsm was new. i got this nokia 3310 in my pocket, as i was walking on chemist street, this guy just run up to me and started hugging me saying you dont remember me, we were student at so so and so. i was like i dont remember. I thought he was a beggar. so i gave him some money. by the time i go home, my phone was gone. i cried. And i lay a curse on him that day.  TILL THIS DAY TILL THIS DAY.

Good job by the RRS! Their presence is needed around Ikotun because we have these guys many in that vicinity despite having a police station close.
