President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Dr Thomas Maurice Asuquo John as the alternate chairman of the NNPC.

Dr John joined the NNPC in 1974 and rose to become its group managing director (GMD) from 1990-1992.

Let assume the president don't get sense he just doing as he pleased what about John Thomas what really special if Mr John reject the appointment Because of his age I'm sorry this thing can't work in that capacity Because age as catch up with him.

Note:

1) There is a Group Managing Director of the NNPC (Mr Mele Kolo Kyari) and he is the chief executive of the corporation.

2) The chairman of the NNPC is meant to be the minister of petroleum resources, but there's no minister at the moment, so Dr John will act as chairman until a new minister or minister of state is appointed.

Oh I see, he's adele to the incoming Minister.

I'm not happy why such a sensitive position should be given to the SE

The SE have not contributed anything for this government to deserve such appointment

I'm really pained right now. Buhari would have given it to the SS or SW

Despite my Love for PMB, I don't know why he prefers appointing old or retired people instead of Young, innovative, creative and positive goal driving men to bring a reasonable development to his government.
Service Chief's retired men.
Custom Oga retired.
NNPC retired.
CBN old man
Chief of staff na our Ancestor.
Etc.

It is because the young men when giving the chance will start finding avenues to upgrade themselves and chop life as the hunger wey dey their body don plenty. An older more experienced person is more likely to bring stability to the organisation. Imagine giving an under 40 person the chairman of NNPC ?! They will more than likely embezzled as much money as they can looking the rhetoric and comments of young people on social media nowadays. Gov Yahaya Bello of Kogi is a classic example.
