Pls unilag students or staffs how can I go about this? Was just driving past the street after DLI few hours ago and these two STUDENTS approached and robbed me of my valuables. Its was just 5am!

How do I go about it? I heard there is CCTV everywhere in unilag how true is this and how can I get the footage?

Pls someone help...

How did you conclude they were students?

Why didn't you activate the DNA in your signature on them.

Go to security unit (Alpha Base) first toward education faculty and report and write down your statement first and valuable collected. Ask for CCTV footages of the area, there are security cameras around that side since you know the time and date of incidence. They maybe students and they may not, bad students do rob while people come from outside to rob also especially from Iwaya and bariga areas. If you are lucky and the cctv footage picked their clear faces, there is probability their faces will be familiar to school community on campus if displayed as wanted.

Okay here is it.. I was driving past a street to enter into another street..you know normally I had to slow down and boom! They were there. I even thought they were security or came to snatch my car. Many thought then on my helpless head. I had to comply cos they got me unexpectedly

Surely, they will not go with your bag after emptying it, but you may not know where they will drop it except you are lucky if you can trek in search of it. While looking for your empty bag with vital credentials unimportant to them, although, depending on the area they ran toward after robbing you; there are so many bushes and canals they may dump your empty bag with other paper credentials; first check nearby bushes left and right towards second gate Iwaya and then follow first bank toward faculty of creative art/ fss ( faculty of Social Sciences) and check nearby bushes. Once you get to where their is no bush, go back towards DLI/health center to faculty of science. Ask for a narrow road that lead from faculty of science to faculty of engineering; check buses around that narrow road as well, they usually dump stolen empty bag around that side too. On getting to faculty of engineering, ask for direction to lagoon front, check everywhere around that side as well as akintude ojo/ main library areas. Cameras are in major areas in the school and ways leading to most bushes, but not sure if they will capture at close range. Just report first at security unit and ask for cctv footages, you may be lucky. Another time, even if not in the school environment, avoid too early journey, wait till 6:00am before stepping out on early journey, though robbery or bad people can rob at anytime of the day, but early in the morning and late in the night are too common with them. If you can still not find them after your efforts, then switch to plan B, go and do affidavit at nearby federal high court to begin process of getting back your important credentials lost. But it will be good first to write down statement at security unit and even take picture when you wrote the statement and lodge complaint for future refrencing claims.
