Several media outfits in conivance with some politicians are determined to set this country on fire by distorting information and misinforming people. That is why they shout on top of their voices when any attempt is made to regulate all these things so that one will be responsible for whatever information they give out. |

You don’t have to use the word exaggerate in order to exaggerate, you only need to imply exaggeration. By saying you don’t think the problem is as massive as that implies that you think reports of kidnapping is exaggerated!!! Simple! Keep your wordplay for zombies who believe everything |

It is atiku and his team that are responsible for kidnapping and creating security challenges in the country. The earlier the illegal alien is arrested and sent to the gulag the better for the country |

"...this is not entirely new.... It's not entirely true..." Lol... Semantically, Prof. Osibanjo is saying that there's exaggeration in the reports on kidnapping. How stupid do these people think we are. They think we have forgotten how they blew up the "corruption is not stealing" excerpt from Gej years ago... These people underestimate the power of Karma. Dear APC, y'all can't lie till and water down the truth till 2023... Just get to work fast. Social media will continue to dog your every step. |

athaboi:Useless and meaningless comments. I know you are part of the nymiri crew. So bittered with their fellow country people as long as they do not come from their tribe. Can you imagine? Do you want the Mr. VP to paint the country's image bad before comity of nation so that he can pleased you? Think before you typed. Many people are reading your crappy comments. There are things you don't say when you are in the midst of foreigners. No country is perfect . Each country have their own teething issue they are battling with including United States and some other great country. So u don't go out there and start washing your dirty linens outside. That's highest sense of irresponsibility and unpatriotism. We know there are kidnapped, killing, insurgency in the country nevertheless adequate measure is carried out to curb all these menace in our society. I'm not a fan of of APC government because they have disappointed me personally but Mr VP comments is still in order. Shekinah! |

EngrMcDon:"With respect to general kidnapping which we have seen in certain parts of the country, again this is not entirely new. When you listen to some of the stories, some of them are simply not true anyway. Some are fueled by politics, but there are cases of kidnapping, there is no question at all about that….and every story we try to track and trace. When you track them, you find out that people just tell some stories, but the truth anyway is that there is kidnapping in places where it has taken place..." This is a very insensitive statement. If you knew the gravity and dimension of this kidnapping thing, you would agree with me. In Plateau state, they come straight to your living room, take one of your children, and demand a ransom. It is no longer about the rich, cos poor people are been kidnapped and ransom of as little as N50k demannded. Or they block the highway as robbers do, select those with flashy cars, and take to the bush to demand ransom. Or they wait outside your gate for you to return cos you must pass thru your gate, and take you from there. There is no week in Jos that does not record atleast 3 incidences. People are afraid of even the flowers outside of their own houses, they don't welcome visitors at home anymore, and are generally on panick mode. Contrary to VP's claim, the incidences are highly under reported. |

Exaggeration like hyperbole is more of a figure of speech than just a word. The words we speak implies it(exaggeration), we don't necessarily need to state it. |

Another case of 'much ado over nothing' by the very same set of peoplethat just hate the man. All these people running amok over the statement of the VP, in their right senses, what else were they expecting him to say? That Nigeria was upside down and out of control? athaboi:As the VP of Nigeria, what were you expecting him to say to the whole world?... that Nigeria is disastrously dangerous and overridden by criminality and that his government is helpless, clueless and has lost control?.... I guess if he had said that, you would have jumped and jubilated in wild excitement because you would have been armed with the best missile to attack him for the next one month on the basis that he spoke loosely about Nigeria in the international stage. Face it, when you dislike someone, no matter what the person says or does, you will definitely find fault in it. |
