Oga did you watch the match?
Did you??
He was the most dispossessed player in the first half and created zero goal scoring opportunities in that half... Improved in the second.

Those who criticised Iwuobi in today's match is either he didn't watch the ball or he had special hatred on him ...if you say that Iwuobi didn't do anything ,then what happened imediately he leaved the pitch in second half ?

Stupid mistake!

Biafra vs Guinea: 5 things we learnt as the Rising Sun qualifies for round of 16.

Be guided op.

Anyway, only those that followed the match on Livescores are downplaying Iwobi's contribution.

Here are my thoughts

1.Our squad has depth.

2.Rohr is not yet certain with his first eleven. It seems he hasn't fully grasped their Swot. He still has to improve tactically.

3.Omeruo and Balogun partnership seem better than the oyibo wall. Thanks to Leganas for bringing out the best in omeruo.Mr shaking method was shielded from the almost non existence threat from the guineans. Ekong gives away the ball easily to the opponent so he should sit on the bench.

4.Ndidi and Etebo did a great job on keita. I noticed that the midfield collapsed after the substitution of Iwobi.

5.Ighalo gave his best but he was selfish. Am still not settled with Onauchu. I think it's high time Osimhen is given a chance to start against Madagascar, dude had a better season in Belgium than Onauchu did in Norway.

Paul pot lost narrowly to 9ja in 2013 with the same scoreline as he did today. He will be looking forward to beat us some day.

Ighalo’s selfishness may cost us Smtn they need to warn that idiat b4 the small praises gets into his head.

He will be the most dispossessed player because he takes the initiative to create something. Actually, I believe you may have a different expectations of the type of attacking midfielder you want iwobi to be, probably the sort of no. 10 okocha was and I think that's where you expectations let's you down.

Iwobi is a no 10, a creator but not the type that holds a midfield like jayjay was.

The Most important lesson; Super eagles can never score beyond one goal in all their matches before they will drop out. They are notable for being a lone goal scorer. Never able to score more than one goal. Check the history of this generation of super eagle players.

Point of correction; Onuachu plays in Denmark with Midtylland football club and not in Norway grin

Oga bros..for some reason best k own to us as a people we've lost culture...why not start by appreciating your Brother's analysis first before the point of correction. It's like trying to take the shine off the post...imho

The Most important lesson; Super eagles can never score beyond one goal in all their matches before they will drop out. Any team that plays with the eagle and can manage to score at least two goals will beat them and send them packing from Egypt back to their zoo. They are notable for being a lone goal scorer. Never able to score more than one goal. Check the history of this generation of super eagle players.

Our Number 9 should be cautioned on his selfishness! We don't need dt at all!

Musa dashing Runs were good

Our Number 2 also did a great job

Solid performance from Ndidi and Etebo

I wonder why everyone is on Ighalo's case because of one selfish piece of play. He's a striker dammit and there ain't no real striker, out there worth its salt, who isn't selfish sometimes. If that dummy had come off ( everyone and their poodle were expecting a cross, when he shot) , y'all would be praising the man right now.

OP did you watch a different game? Iwobi was the only attacker seriously troubling the Guinean keeper,it was his deflected shot that we scored from the resulting corner.......abeg its only Safarigirl that should be posting football analysis in Nairaland biko!

grin Safarigirl threw in the towel back in 2013, it would seem. Not seen any original post bordering on football from her ever since.

Some of you will be watching Livescores and start giving nonsense commentaries. Iwobi played well today, he was very instrumental even in the build up that led to the goal. That guy understands the number 10 role. Immediately he was substituted, the eagles attacked less.
are you surprised at comments on iwobi...these are the sentiments that make some individuals feel Mikel is not a great eagles player...
iwobi and Mikel remains our creative options in midfield..
Mikel from deep and iwobi As AM..... ihenacho could have been like iwobi if he had gone wer his craft will be iron out...
this is why African football can't excel much at the world stage as it comes a point power play collapsed for intelligent football...
ndidi is good for tackles...etebo is good sometimes with his physicality...
let's hope the eagles are this efficient as the tournament progresses

Wilfred Ndidi’s game by numbers vs. Guinea:

100% take-ons successful
100% tackles won
most ball recoveries (12)

Another solid performance. https:///1s2fRD8shO
