Please after booking Turkish airlines flight,I saw where it is stated that I need to show the credit card used for payment. My friend paid for me and he is in the USA and I am in Nigeria, what can I do now?
Your friend should go to tbe nearest TK office in his city or airport with the following :
The CC in question
Valid Govt id
Copy of the ticket.

This is what yahoo boys brought upon us. They need to ascertain that its not a stolen CC and also to avoid cashback. You wont be able to board if this is not done.

Hello everyone,

Been looking for this thread for some hours now to share my POE experience. Once a story is not on the first page of the travel section... to find it na wahala.

So I bought my ticket towards the end of last month. Bought it directly from the Emirates website using a combination of miles and card.

P.S. after flying an airline y'all need to go register your trip to earn miles... this is irrespective of whether you bought it from an agent or directly from the website. The miles earned from my last trips cut this ticket by almost 50k.

Just thought to put this out there.

Back to it, so I flew Emirates from LOS - DXB- IAH. Emirates is an amazing airline....super super amazing.

CBP: passport please.
Me: I gave him.
He now separated my two passport.
CbP: do you have any valid Visa on this. He raised my old passport.
Me: No.
CbP: Then you don't need this.
Me: *rolls eyes*
CBP: business or pleasure
ME: vacation
CbP: where are you going to be staying
ME: with family in ******. I started getting out my phone to give him the exact address.
CBP: place your four right fingers....took my picture
CbP: how long are u staying
Me: about 3 weeks I'm leaving on ........
Cbp: how much do you have.
Me: .......dollars
CbP: do you have fresh meat and food.
Me: NO! But I have dry fish and dry veg and ......
CBP: Hands me back my passport.

I went to collect my bag and off I went. No secondary check.

Lessons learnt
Even if your layover exceeds 8hrs, Emirates will not provide accommodation for you if there was the option of a flight with a shorter connection layover.

That's how I spent 10hrs inside DXB eating and shopping because I was toooo eager to get out of Lagos to start my vacation.

I left on the 12.05pm flight which had over 10hrs layover instead of waiting for the 6.10pm flight which had about 4hrs.

Anyways I don become DXB expert...I know every nick and cranny of the place.

Just thot to share...

Xoxo

I think the only reason you're not eligible for Dubai Connect was because emirates flies twice a day from Lagos and if it was from Abuja you will surely qualify for it... I was expecting you to share some pics and thanks for the Emirates skyward tip.
Have a solid vacation...

And play with dates and nearby airports if flexible. New York almost always come cheaper too, but what you save by coming in through NY may be gulped by local means of transportation to final destination. So, do your calculations well.

Cheap tickets will come back from mid/deep into September sha

Going to Atlanta in August, Is it possible to get a price below $900?

Lolz! Return ticket? Flying from Nigeria? In August? ATL even won't come at $900 easily during off peak season and promo ticket sales period, not to mention August the father of high season. Hardly sir!

Or is it one way ticket you are hunting for?

Same thing happened to me on my last trip to IAH with Emirates.

I was just walking about the airport/taking pictures.

But I got the Dubai Connect package on my way back and made the best use of it.

Let him fly to New York City OR Washington D.C. & then take a Bus to Atlanta...

That would be the cheapest option...

If he can book ahead of time, he can certainly get a MegaBus Ticket from either New York City OR Washington D.C. to Atlanta for $20...

Washington D.C. to Atlanta is roughly 6 hours by MegaBus...

New York City to Atlanta is roughly 10 hours by MegaBus...

And then he can take Greyhound from Atlanta Georgia to Birmingham Alabama which is roughly 2 hours by Bus

A Greyhound Ticket from Atlanta Georgia to Birmingham Alabama should cost about $20...

@7Alexander any hint on how I could save cost from Lagos to Lubbock on July 23?

Plan to spend $850 - $900 for the total cost of trip to Lubbock

Won't mind using bus at some point, it bus trip is not more than 6hrs

No, it shouldn’t ..

I have done that route several times...

It’s 4 hours from New York City to Washington D.C. & 10 hours from Washington D.C. to Atlanta...

If you booked far ahead of time like say August you can get a MegaBus ticket for about $20...

Sorry, I just checked right now & you’re right...

The must have changed things up since last year...

It’s almost 23 hrs with the unnecessary stops...

I wouldn’t embark on such long trips on the Bus...

He should take a flight from New York City to Atlanta which takes about 3 hrs...

Not really...

You should ask Seyewest about it...

He is the specialist when it comes to booking cheap flight tickets...

But $850 - $900 is way too low...

You need to budget at least a $1,500 for a one way ticket...

Hello US MissionNGRA,

My younger brother visa was not renewed through Dropbox. My dad scheduled another interview for September. He is still under 18 years so my dad accompanied him to the Embassy for his initial visa.
Now, my Dad's visa is not even close to expiration date and he booked a flight to USA to visit my sisters. and he will be back to accompany my brother for his interview in September.
On his arrival to the stop over airport to USA, his visa was revoked and he was sent back on the next flight to Lagos. The purported email that was claimed to be sent was not sent. An officer wrote REVOKED and a code on his visa.
I think there is a mistake somewhere because they both bear the same last name and first name. I'm confused right now. This is not his first time travelling to the USA. Please, how will it be rectified?"

@seyewest , please have you seen this? What could have happened?
