Come oh...who started this talk of Nigeria being the 'giant of Africa'? Our problem has always been delusions of grandeur....being too smug and comfortable for our own good!

I noticed a few things as the video played out: first, i'm sure i wasn't the only one watching it with a sad feeling given that Nigeria only showed face momentarily throughout the entire 5 plus decades shown....and then disappeared never to be seen again; see little Gabon and Equitorial Guinea punching way above their weight; notice how Zimbabwe and South Africas' fortunes nosedived about the period blacks took over; Botswana that has no oyel or access to the sea put up a good performance in the last decade of so; and little Seychelles is the revelation of the century!

This shows that our unwieldy and unmanageable size hasn't gotten us anywhere, and that if we're to wipe this shame off our faces (that's those of us that actually feel ashamed at our present predicament) then we need to go back to the drawing board ASAP, and restrategize! Nigeria is a failed state and the embarrassment of the black race!
