Like u rightly noted, a lot of kids are being molested these days by people who are supposed to b protecting them. Nairaland is awash with such stories on a daily. Its disheartening & for me personally, its frustrating reading such headlines everyday. D question is, how many times have u seen all these busola dakolo supporters throwing their weight behind these children who have had their innocence stolen from? Have u ever seen omotola, genevive, stella damasus, ebuka& d rest of them that are raising funds to go to court& to protest on sunday fight 4d rights of these innocent children? Stop seeing rape in light of armed robbery or murder.
I am not sure you know how our justice system works in rape cases.
No one can be convicted of rape unless
1. They were caught in the act by other witnesses
2. It involves serious physical violence multiple bruises and broken bones which is promptly reported.
3. It involves a kid and physical injury

This is because no judge will convict based solely on victim's testimony.

Even the Lekki rapists who recorded the act on video may walk free at the end of the day.

Wrong. You can't prove something doesn't always mean there's "nothing" you can do. Sensible people can discern the truth when they hear it, proof or not. The fact that she came out is encouraging many others to speak out. That will make parents of young girls in that church careful, which will make it harder for the holy sinner to perpetrate further rape and seduction. That is not nothing. Keeping quiet in things like this makes you an enabler.
