What does denial gotta do with it, had to delete my previous comment about this, so BHT released propaganda video, what else is new? We all know we've taken loses and lost battles. Jeez |

Sizzorkay:This is part of the reason why this war will never end. Everyone is now used to hearing about military base being attached and no serious questions are asked, or people incharge made to answer questions. Our soldiers have become mere statistics, four well equipped American servicemen died last year in an ambush in Mali the outrage allover America was overwhelming even in Nigeria but our own ill-equipped men die with reckless abandon due to many corruption and we are ok with it because it is nothing new. Go to 44 hospital and hear the irritating and gory depiction of hardship at the fronts. Yes we're all living in self denial if we simply dismiss the happenings in the NE, you might not feel the pain till you loose a brother, friend or relation. |

I don't wanna get into an argument, but you missed the boat on the point i was trying to make. I'm saying this has happened, not the first time, won't be the last, BH released propaganda video and that upset you? What do you think happens when own troops are overran and we hear about their deaths? That doesn't upset you? But a propaganda video does? I guess BH got their point across then. Why would i be okay with our troops dying, I'm saying don't fall for BH props. Every death is painful, but unless i can change things from where i am, i don't see the point of getting high blood pressure over it. And to compare foreign troops dying in a country their countrymen and women didn't know they were deployed in is weird. We don't have much outrage in Nigeria because the media houses sucks, if those journalists do more, there will be outrage. If the Citizens aren't well informed, well ugo4u: |

ugo4u:What's self denial here....... ........ ![]() We all know the video is not recent" it's a BHT stunt. However it dosent justify loosing such cache of weapons to terrorists |
| Re: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by bidexiii(op): 7:17am On Jun 30, 2019 |
ugo4u:It's video of when the naval base in Baga was captured. You could see the gun boats at the background before it was destroyed. |
| Re: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by Toju200(m): 7:20am On Jun 30, 2019 |
bidexiii:yeah dat video ain't recent there was no such attack on Baga......and perhaps ugo4 u should know our borders are porous and BHT might be getting weapons from it's allegedly affiliate...... Take for example the VBIED we see now how do they get into Nigeria...I mean the type of up armoured VBIED we are seeing |
| Re: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by Toju200(m): 7:24am On Jun 30, 2019 |
ugo4u:this isn't recent...I don't think BHT will be going back there with the way NAF responded to the incursion on MNJTF and Naval base in Baga.....they did it in a professional way.... Also in Auno when BHT told villagers that they were coming for Auno.....I loved the way NAF responded too |
| Re: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by bidexiii(op): 7:31am On Jun 30, 2019 |
ugo4u:Dude calm down, we all feel the pain . We have all in one way or the other lost close colleagues, friends in the battle field or even family members. I spent close to 4 years in KEKENO & MALLAM FATORI all are border villages close to Niger republic. His it the harsh, unforgiven weather or water rationing & food you want to talk about. Honestly guys fighting in the frontline are enjoying compared to like 5years ago during the dark days. Saying he does not feel the pain makes you too totally wrong and misguided. |
| Re: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by bidexiii(op): 7:39am On Jun 30, 2019 |
Toju200:Him out of all people shouldn't feel that way and should know that the video is old and BHT is doing these because of the recent losses they've suffered. Those bastards released the video to make the general public think our boys ain't doing nothing. Never the less am not justifying loosing weapons to the terrorist and our top brass needs to step up there game. |
| Re: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by Toju200(m): 7:46am On Jun 30, 2019 |
bidexiii:Yeah we lost pretty good amount of weaponry to BHT.....the Army superiors should buckle up people that are fighting terrorism and protecting Nigeria are fathers, brothers and siblings to other people..... Hw I wish the military can carry out a devastating ops that will shake the north and sound warning to other terror group in West Africa... |

If it was Sahara reporters that recently posted that video online....I don't blame them they are always publishing post that are in favour of the terrorist.just like the attack on MNJTF base Sahara reporters claimed that they were 2000 troops trapped in the hand of terrorist during the incursion....which was a big like.....every eve know that what BHT is doing is propaganda and trying to derail efforts of our troops |

CAS URGES PERSONNEL TO SUSTAIN TEMPO OF ANTI-BANDITRY OPERATIONS AS HE COMMISSIONS NEWLY RENOVATED ACCOMMODATIONS IN KADUNA, ABUJA The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sadique Baba Abubakar, has charged officers, airmen and airwomen of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) to sustain the tempo in the fight against armed banditry, kidnapping and insurgency. He said the current security challenges facing the country, if left unchecked, pose grave danger to the collective co-existence of Nigerians. He therefore urged them to re-double their efforts in order to make the Service more relevant and effective in addressing the current and future security challenges in the country. The CAS stated this while commissioning a renovated block of 30 x 2 bedroom apartments for Senior Non-Commissioned Officers (SNCOs) at the NAF Base in Kaduna today, 29 June 2019. This is coming just a few days after he commissioned 3 newly renovated blocks of officers' accommodation and a warehouse at NAF Base Bill Clinton Drive Abuja on Thursday, 27 June 2019. Speaking on his behalf, the Air Officer Commanding Air Training Command, Air Vice Marshal Muhammad Suleiman, said projects like this were initiated in all NAF Bases to ensure the provision of a conducive atmosphere for personnel at their various work places and homes. He disclosed that providing decent housing for officers, airmen and airwomen remained one of the priorities of HQ NAF’s policy thrust towards ensuring personnel and their families live in befitting accommodation to make them better prepared to respond to various exigencies of the Service. He congratulated the beneficiaries of the renovated accommodation and urged them to use it responsibly for optimal performance. Earlier in his welcome address, the Acting Commander 453 Base Services group, Wing Commander Abdullahi Bagale, said the renovation of the SNCOs’ accommodation had not only improved the living conditions of the personnel but added to the phenomenal development of the Base. He said the entire base community would remain very grateful to the CAS for his unwavering commitment towards providing conducive shelter and other basic amenities on the Base. He pledged the determination of the beneficiaries to reciprocate by renewing their dedication to the Service. allexpensive:A lot of foolish things do happen in Nigeria eg a former CDS sent helicopters to evacuate his family before his town was run over by boko haram, hundreds of Nigerian army personnel fled into Cameroon after they were attacked by boko haram, the COAS has two properties in Dubai, even though there was no way he could afford the properties with the amount he earned as a civil servant, boko haram terrorist controlling and moving freely in some part of Nigeria territory etc only in foolish countries do such things happen. |

BabaOwen:I was in North East frontline during these time, And I can categorically tell you that this story was never true .... it was fabricated by the media. Am not a big fan of the then CDS & other chiefs, and the then government administration. It was in 2014 BHT attacked Mubi/vimtim in Adamawa state which happens to be the CDS state and home town respectly. Helicopters that where seen hovering over Vimtim carrying-out IRS missions where labelled to evacuate the former CDS family members, just like week when some unguided and misinformed elements in the media circulating the rumour that the NAF was supplying arms and logistics to Fulani herbsmen in an eastern state. |

Una never dey serious. Just like I always argue that the problem of Nigeria is not that of leadership. The leaders know the right thing to do, but because the people are not serious to call for accountability, the leaders will always ef us thru the ass. The COAS' statement is truly demoralizing and unfortunate that it's coming from the top echelon of the military, the worst he could've done is give a motivational speech. That statement he made is a self indictment. |
| Re: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by blacKDalia: 11:03am On Jun 30, 2019 |
We've read and heard about the military sustaining casualties, if this is not enough commitment then what else or until everyone dies? There is a training and doctrine gap that needs to be filled in the military but on the interim the commanders know what is to be done. They will not do it because they like the status quo to satiate their bottomless appetite for filthy lucre. Agreed that some of the statements made by that officer might be selfishly motivated, political and ill advised, we cannot deny some of the truths. |
