There's no proof yet that Busola is saying the truth, but she is not some broke/desperate opportunist looking for cheap popularity and pocket change. She's living a good life and has her reputation and that of her family to protect.

Pastor Fatoyinbo could be innocent of the allegation but this is not a one-off case as he has been accused before. It is still very possible that he is innocent of all the allegations. So i don't think a sentence should be passed until he has been given a chance to fully address the issue (s) and defend himself.

Busola on the other hand deserves to be taken very seriously. Rape is a grievous crime and it has become endemic in Nigeria.

Ese did not press charges and Biodun Fatoyinbo would not have been arrested even if she did because she was an adult and she didn't accuse him of rape. She said he took advantage of her via consensual sex.
Busola on the other was a minor when he had carnal knowledge of her, so even if she consented, it's still statutory rape.

Busola can decide not to press charges for obvious reasons but if Biodun Fatoyinbo does not take legal action like he threatened, then he's probably guilty.

I’m never on anyone’s side. I am on the side of the truth of issues. I don’t know the pastor and can not speak for him. But I hate bullying! I understand false accusation. I know first hand that people go out of their way to destroy others for money, jealousy, ego and for no reason whatsoever. I don’t know that the Dakolos are okay financially. I don’t believe decent people will resolve issues this way. They will go to a court of law and not a court of public opinion. Dakolo has a way with the public. The original competition that brought him to limelight was not his to win. Omowunmi was better than him, but he won because of the polls. People felt like he was a decent underdog and voted for him. To use this influence to destroy another human being is all shades of wrong. Plus his wife’s story has too many loopholes in it. But since I don’t know the facts, I believe both parties should take this to court. What on earth do the Dakolos want to achieve with this?
At that, the attention this case is receiving is way out of proportion. Wild people shouting at members of a place of worship: shame! Rapist! Are the members the accused? Is the accusation legal? Don’t people have the right to worship where the want to? Why can’t the wild ones go to the respective government officials and shout wildly at them?
