jaxxy:we need short and long term solution, RUGA might be a short term solution that handles herdsmen, but what of northern farmers.. remember of the story of the hausa secuirity guard who rejected a house and insisted a borehole be sunk in his village... State and Local goverment allocation can be channeled into building Dams, and if FG wishes to invest then it should be able to drive hydroturbine and provide power to the national grid. with 3% annual population growth i dont think any southern state would want encroachment of their land especially for a trade they are not into. The more we discuss issues like this the more solutions would spring up |

*Hon.Justice Adewale Thompson’s 1969 Judgment on Open Cattle Grazing - Suit no AB/26/66.* Hon.Justice Adewale Thompson: 17th April,1969. Suit no AB/26/66 at Abeokuta Division of the High Court. "I do not accept the contention of Defendants that a custom exists which imposes an obligation on the owner of farm to fence his farm whilst the owner of cattle allows his cattle to wander like pests and cause damage. Such a custom if it exists, is unreasonable and I hold that it is repugnant to natural justice, equity and good conscience and therefore unenforceable...in that it is highly unreasonable to impose the burden of fencing a farm on the farmer without the corresponding obligation on the cattle owner to fence in his cattle." Sequence to that I banned open grazing for it is inimical to peace and tranquillity and the cattle owners must fence or ranch their animals for peace to reign in these communities." Please share to create awareness since am sure nobody appealed against this decision, so it's law and any open grazing is a violation of the law |

UN should interfare on this RUGA thing. How on earth can a president use tax payers money and plan to build settlement for the fulani that is carrying gun and be killing innocent citizens? What have have they (FG) done to those families that have being killed by fulani herdsmen? They are trying to fix terrorist all over d 36 states and be sponsoring them for more killing. Let FG rehablitate textile and creat more jobs for nigeria youths. What about second niger-bridge, enugu-onitsha road, draining of river niger, rail way to south-easth, portharcourt- aba road? May the Almighty God open earth to swallow all ur evil minds. All i know is that there was a country. 8-) |

itsme01:Taa, comot! So because FG said 12 states applied for it, you want me to believe that Benue and Taraba governors applied to have Ruga settlements built in their states, when they have been insisting on either ranching or nothing? I have no reason to trust this FG, not one! |

Glory2DLamb:I want you to understand something even if i dont dispute Buhari's double standards ... Northern Crisis would continue to intensify , Obasanjo saw little , Jonathan saw hell, Buhari is seeing hellfire and should power shift south 2023 the guy would see volcanic hell fire mixed with nuclear doom... and the reason is Global warming, north dont have enough water as we speak they rely on rainfall which is not even enough, and they keep reproducing faster than rabits and to compound this they are using religion to decieve themselves.... Its so bad that Chad and niger People are in Nigerian territory doing everything to survive, Northerners are everywhere in south scraping for anything to survive and their elites are all over Abuja/Kaduna/and Lagos even Atiku couldnt get borehole working in his country home, he had to sink one kilometers faraway and pipe it down to his house |

itsme01:Can you please share with me the specific statements made by Obiano (Anambra), Ikpeazu (Abia), Dickson (Bayelsa), Abiodun (Ogun), Fayemi (Ekiti) etc, telling FG and Ogbeh to fück off? How many governors have even spoken out in their personal capacities as governors? Umahi only spoke as the Chairman of South East Governors' Forum. South West governors issued a statement together after their security meeting, but none has come out to tell FG off. Why are you now saying Ortom is silent? Who else isn't? By the way, below is the stand of Benue House of Assembly on the matter. https://leadership.ng/2019/06/29/benue-assembly-backs-ortom-rejects-ruga-settlements/ |

Am glad people in the middlebelt regions are now speaking up, they were Buhari Ass lickers in 2015, but now their eyes don clear. Yahaya Bello watchout ,continue licking Buhari's ass, kogites will ensure you don't return for second tenure. |

nasoeb:Exactly what I've been saying but a lot of naive posters have been talking trash about ' for the interest of peace. I've asked them if all those murdered in their ancestral lands asked for war from the fulani militia but they've refused to respond. The reality is that thousands will die first before all other tribes understand what the Igbos have been saying all along. Posterity has vindicated us. We warned but we were termed 'hateful'. Shit has hit the fan and everyone is cryin. We're watching. |

itsme01:Let's not deceive ourselves, we are under a government that has no regard for due process or law. As the statement attached here shows, Benue state government did not at any time apply to join their evil scheme. But the Federal government went ahead to implement it despite objections raised by the state government. Don't be naive about these issues, the federal government can and has bypassed the state government and laws in pursuit of their fulanization goal. What enforcement mechanism do you think is available to the state government? All of the killings, all of the kidnappings, all of the arson was for this purpose. The attacks were meant to soften us up to this evil initiative, this is their endgame. It is all part of the plan. The time has come however, for the citizens to stand up and say NO! We must RESIST, RESIST and RESIST. #notoruga

| Re: Ruga Settlement: Middle Belt Forum Kicks Against Proposed Fulani Settlement by BlackLaw: 12:41pm On Jul 01, 2019 |
itsme01:Of course you won't see Ortom arguing with them from your bedroom. Especially when you don't do any research on the topic. Samuel Ortom for all of his flaws have been steadfast in this matter. He has severally condemned the idea of ruga or grazing reserve. Perhaps the screenshot statement (by the Benue state government) attached to my comment can help with your research. Cheers. |
