My set of 2017.72 intake or so.As soon as they passed out from depot.They were deployed to fight bokoharam. About 3000 recruits.It was only 1000 plus that came back alive after 8 months in borno.They were withdrawn after 8 months.One of my recruits told me they were withdrawn because bokoharam recorded more casualties than the army.These were single and young recruits who were fearless.Though I didn't make the successful lists then.

I just don't understand why people still join Nigerian army despite the poor welfare( less than 60k salary) with poor military equipment (e.g using children's drone to combat crime).
Don't let unemployment push you into Nigerian army. Start a business even if it's farming (you can make more money than Nigerian soldiers monthly salary)

why would one even want to fight a war created by nigerian politicians for their own political gains?

Is it worth it? dying for country that doesn't care. while they are busy looting youths are fighting their made up war.

Nigerian politicians should send their sons and Daughters to fight the boko haramists too.

Exactly. Many Nigerians are very slow in critical reasoning. Those bandits are usually members sent to go get stuff for the camp.
