“President Buhari deserved to have lost the last election for the lackadaisical attitude he took to the issue of cattle rearing in the country..." Soyinka

And some people actually think Buhari won an election? His margin of lose sent to inec servers was so great that they had to postpone any single announcements until they had re-jigged the results for several days. They also knew it couldn't stand the test of a forensic or supreme court judgment that they removed the chief justice by force. Knowing they are still not safe, they've quickly sent more names to be added to the supreme court justices.

I detest people who can only destroy but cant construct.

Well said, RUGE will set Nigeria on Fire. Can Prof please proffer a better way of approaching if he is good at condemning.

Organized cattle ranches.
This is how it is done in saner climes.
We stand with Professor Wole Soyinka.
One of the few good men remaining in our country.
A man who says the truth in everything.
Give it up for old men with wise grey hairs!

They voted him back into Aso Rock.

It should have been a landslide loss going by his antecedents.

In other words...Not my problem.

It is good to see that the same sets of nonentities calling Professor Wole Soyinka unprintable names just last week,
names that they can never call their grandfather.
All because of a boy on a plane, that his parent did not teach manners.
A boy that wakes up his parents with karate kicks every morning,
Saying why should the boy stand up for the PROF,
a man as old as his grandfather, afterall they both pay the same money.......
they are now the same sets of people hailing the PROF today! cheesy

Ranching is the way forward, once upon a time, some people killed twins, involved in cannibalism even recently masquerades and they saw it as culture, a way of life but now, all these have phased out. Fulanis should phase out open grazing too and embrace Ranching. Its easier and safer for one or two Fulani cattle owners to buy land from any state government, set up a ranch than government giving out a large hectare of land to them in the name of settlement. Why settling them in States, where were they staying before the settlement is built for them?

nextstep:
Nigerians are complaining about the policies of a president they elected? Abeg. We can't vote a bigot and then complain he's a bigot.
If people from South don't want grazing, they should either: stop eating cows, or start ranching.

The recent noise from Rivers: "we don't have room for grazing."
Oh... so you want to eat cow meat, but don't want to use part of your land to raise the food you will eat?
So ironically I must allow u to use my pots and kitchen for the food u wanna SELL for me??
nah who u offend wey make u as fool like thishuh

Like you have forgotten that ranching was the "FIRST" proposed option that was shot down.

Remember? That was the first resolution that came on board. Same "They want to take our land" brought it down.

Tracks were documented, even here on NAIRALAND. It was shot down!

Nope, they proposed Cattle colonies, which is like 10 ranches in one, almost like this RUGA settlement. What people are avoiding is a colony/settlement housing up-to 100 Fulanis, before you know it, they will reach 1000 Fulanis.
