This post made me remember something I experienced one day in class.

One major thing lacking in the educational system back home is a checks and balance system for lecturers. Most Nigerian universities have a “senate” charged with dishing out disciplinary actions to erring lecturers and funny enough, it is made up of fellow lecturers who would never see anything wrong in what their colleague did.

In my school here, towards the end of each semester, each student has the chance to review the lecturer and how they taught the class in general. For my biology class, the instructor came in one day with a sealed envelope and informed us that today we would be conducting a survey on her and her class. She called one person and said they should share these forms (attached below) after which another person would collect the forms, seal the envelope and submit to the administrative office for the school and then she left the class. This happened for all my classes. The good thing is it’s anonymous so the lecturer wouldn’t know who wrote what.

Honestly, I feel this is a great and foolproof way to check the rot in our educational system.
I attended Assfood International in Lagos from JSS1-JSS2, I could remember the proprietor did something similar while I was there, this led to the termination of the fine arts teacher's appointment.

If this is what Home training is, well i prefer it that way and i prefer i talk and my kids be looking like Sardines but that doesnt means I won't value my kids opinion.

Some of you wont understand until you have kids here and starts misbehaving then you understand the situation of things.

A man from Florida I met at the Consulate yesterday brought his kid(US Citizen) to the consulate to get him an international passport. He said a lot of stuffs about the kid and all but one person agreed the 7 year old boy be sent to Nigeria till he graduates high school or college and then bring him back to the US.

We all know his situation will change the moment he gets to Nigeria(Factory reset things)
funny enough

id rather not raise my kids in NiggerArea.

There is a damage that does with your kids that I don't want for my girls

Even amongst the so called "upper class elite"
You can still feel and smell that "poverty mentality" and "poverty instincts" amongst them
when I'm in naija, I mix with them and I see it

Naija no be good place to raise kids

well except you like to have timid punks as kids

That's why I don't date girls that are not working (I don't mean Sales girl job), so I can seperate need and want. Many naija girls are just "wanty." After asking for money from every guy that approach them, certainly the guys will sleeps with them and go their way including the one with good intention. The moment they start approaching 30, they begin to move from church to church, praying for husband. With the way I am, I may not marry a Nigerian girl (Except the ones well raised abroad).

don't take this the wrong way

But your case looks like the case of "you can take a man out of the village but not he village out of the man"

I have noticed some of your comments overtime (I saw the ones you made even on that guys thread who made a trip to the American south west cool )

Your world view is still late 19th century Africa in my opinion
so if that was the case, why even move to the U.S. in the first place
I'm not saying this to spite you tho

just my observation.

Any man who is going to the village to marry a woman he barely knows because he wants a "good African wife" has something wrong with him

Two of my uncles did it, it did not work, they are both divorced bums cheesy grin

The upbringing and prevalent mentality in NiggerArea is predominantly repugnant and this is a big factor as to why NiggerArea is a $hithole failed republic

one who has The opportunity to flee that, why export such draconian mentality elsewhere?

it's amazing mehn

I am not the type that take shots at our naija girls but truth need to be told..

Most guys on relocating here, girls go dey form over friendly for them wanting attention. Same guys dem dey snub when dem dey naija.. So Yes, "Most" naija girls want to take a piece of the pie.

Lastly, no need to vent your frustration on me. The weather is hot already.
Re: Yankee: through the eyes of a village boy. by Dremca(m):
Any man who goes to the village to marry a wife certainly has a coachroach in his cupboard. Only 1 out of 10 girls you will meet in Nigeria has a reformed mindset, the remaining 9 only follow the crowd. Compare that Americans. Mark zuckerberg married his girlfriend from Harvard university same with Barack Obama who married his girlfriend from same Harvard University. They all shared the same thing in common. A successful mindset and a desire to be the best. In the same Nigerian universities, boyfriends pay school fees for their girlfriends and end up being dumped when she meet a money bag. Am not saying America is perfect but the mindset is far from that of Nigerians in general not just girls.

it's the same polluted mentality prevalent in NiggerArea that I'm talking about You explained in your post

I don't blame the ladies (and the men too)
they are VICTIMS of their environment

that is why I sympathise with them
not castigate them

Take it easy. If you come abroad and later pick a wife from Nigeria, there's 85% chance that will be the greatest mistake you ever made in your life. Law in the Western world has made husbands completely infirm.

You don't expect her to stay the same way and knowing laws in the Western world let's her own the house, the children and majority of the things you have just by calling the cops and complain of domestic violence.( I believe few Nigerian women don't end up this way, just few. shikini) Abeg leave Lionelee,

But if you won't be taking a Nigerian and your wife. you should also be careful of those black Americans too, those ones go make life taya you pass your Nigerian woman

This I believe explains the motive behind some Nigerians in Diaspora murdering their imported brides.

Many Nigerian wives realize their potentials once they get to tge US. Some of them do worse thing to their husband even more than what an American woman will ever think of doing just to prove a point to their husband that they aren't in Nigeria where husbands has upper hands. So once their eyes tear, they over do it and torment their husbands with it. But like I said earlier, few women would never do this but they aren't much. just less than 10%

I know 3 people who did this and all of them are regretting. One of them is now a gateman at my nephew's school, he looks depressed and I'm sure suffers from PTSD.

I believe you saw the sarcasm cheesy, but tbh. divorce laws alone favors women and that is why the divorce rate are high from their side. For men, it doesnt work in their favor because most of the time divorce ends in losing their homes and half of their assets or even more. If there are children involved, the woman gets custody of the children most of the time unless there are other circumstances involved.

Do you know Emmanuel Eboue, a former arsenal player. please read his story on how his life got messed up just because of the law in the Western world after a divorce that left him almost penniless.
