My only question here is why should every state or any state for that matter provide FREE land for a private enterprise? Rearing of cattle in Nigeria is like an electronic dealer in Alaba Market or Onitsha Main Market, a private enterprise. As far as I am concerned, there is no benefit to Nigerians from cattle rearing just like there's none from electronic dealing. Both businesses are private business and absolutely no benefit accrues to any Nigerian other than the people who own and run the damn business. No citizen, especially from the south, had ever benefited from the sale by the owners of any of these cows that roam their lands and damage their crops. So, if the government -State or federal- had never provided FREE retail space or subsidized the rent of the electronic dealer in Alaba Market, why on God's green earth should the government provide FREE grazing land for Fulani herdsmen? I am waiting for any proponent of FREE grazing land to the Fulanis to give me any plausible reason for such freebie!
