Even for that medical no one can still beat Yoruba

Whether Medical or Law Yoruba still lead but i don't expect you to accept it though
lol
Keep deceiving yourself. Go to any university outside our collective regions, count the number of igbo students to the.number of yoruba students.
Even in yorubaland, count how many igbo students are in all your local universities.

If i bring out official jamb statistics now, your people will claim that is not only the way to enter school.

The Hsusas especially the ones in law profession focus their careers on the bench, That's my observation. and to say they don't go to school is not entirely correct. There are very educated and brilliant ones. Kudos yo the young SAN

Big, fat lie.
He was the best if his set, not best ever.
I know this guy personally. Had his firm handling something for us when he was in UUBO.

That being said, Yorubas made 17 out of this list. You guys can share the remaining with others.
He was the best ever.
He won 10 prizes. No other law graduate has matched that even now.

What is the name of the young man you are talking about here ?
http://www.nigerianmonitor.com/24-year-old-kenneth-okwor-1st-class-law-graduate-now-a-lecturer/

He became a lecturer at 24. Became the best ever at a younger age.

Stop arguing and exposing your ignorance, you no dey hear word. I know the person you are talking about. He was the best of his set only. People before him and after him have won higher prizes.

Naomi Uwem got 13 Prizes in the law school. I'm sure you are ignorant of that.

A Yoruba girl, Grace Gureje won 15 awards. That's the highest and best ever. So, keep quiet and stop making noise about what you have no idea of.

It doesn't mean there are more Yoruba lawyers than Igbo lawyers.

It all depends on the panel that made the selection - Yoruba-tilted panel.

There is no indication you lead anything.
Maybe in the 60s, but no more.
In every region in Nigeria, after the locals, igbos are the next most populous folks in the university.

Law used to be yoruba dominated field while igbos generally led medical fields going by jamb admission statistics.
But even the yoruba dominance in law is no longer absolute.
you and baseless assumptions, do you think you are talking to people in ariara market? these chest beating without anything to back it up is becoming irritating, just be throwing self constructed stats like an educated illiterate. Yorubas are still the leaders in the educational sector, the best universities in the country are located in the south west, and by the way, the worst state in the southwest in terms of education is still far ahead of enugu state in Secondary education, the secondary education in that state is terrible, especially outside enugu city, most schools are dependent on corp members, their permanent teachers are nothing to write home about, the facilities are non existent, in fact i see secondary education there as socio cultural gathering rather than anything relating to education, my question is if Enugu state could be in this state, what about other states like Abia, Ebonyi?

Are igbos.not ably represented in the list?
What is so special about having the youngest?
It is just one person.

One young igbo man is the best graduate ever in the history of the Nigerian law school and became its youngest ever lecturer.
He just finished his law fellowship programme from harvard which he got on scholarship, and is already back at the NLS.
Dosen't change the fact that it still counts as one.

Bragging is for inferior empty vessels.
Mr Man, there is nothing like best graduate ever in the history of the Law school. Every year, they have the best graduating student for that year among those that made First Class in the Law school and few have been absorbed as Lecturers there over the years. He won't be the first and won't be the last. You're condemning others for bragging about tribe but you're doing same.

There are actually more Yoruba lawyers then Igbo lawyers.

How many law schools in the SE offer law?
When did they start offering law?
What is the number of students that they have law school accreditation for?

Go and ask and you'll have your answer.

P. S: This Grace Gureje, is she by any chance related to Prof.Oye Gureje of Psychiatry Dept in UCH? That man is something else. He's the most cited person in Nigeria, in terms of academic publications.

More nonsense, and i am the one that is bragging.

Go to lagos and everywhere, your people are either doing owomi da or busy learning artisan work.

Who goes to school again in yoruba land? They are either learning tailoring, hairdresser or bricklaying work.
I served in yoruba land. A lot of schools there can't pay salaries without a healthy amount of youth corpers.

I gave you a simple assignment. Go to any school in Nigeria outside the south east and south west.
Compare the number of igbo students to the.number of yoruba students.

Igbo is Igbo, be he/she from SS or from NN.

From an Igbo who is native in Edo state, to Igbo native to Kogi, Delta, Benue, Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Cross River and in the five eastern states - they are all Igbos.

Any body from these areas who bears Igbo name, practices Igbo culture, but says he is not Igbo, denigrates himself/herself.

Whichever way you look at it,these are the best so far in SANS ranking.im particularly glad on the choice of this young guy and all professional bodies must imbibe integrity, hardwork, competence and tenacity of their profession and use to develop Nigeria.Nigerians still recommend that Our Lord's in chamber should still go for more Courses on Labour Laws( these are special areas that Judges must know the technicalities and follow through) for the rules of engagement and disengagement to be properly followed to win Nigerians Confidence.Kudos to the Body of Benches especially on the promotion of young Lawyers to SANS.

Edited. Yorubas are 15 while igbos are 11...so its not a clear yoruba victory....but yet again these 2 tribes always dominate in fair playing fields while the northerners take a distant 3rd...chai
There are 16Yorubas and 10 igbos on the list. Some of the names that sound igboish are actually Igala and Benue names.

Appointment of SANs that everybody knows has been bastardised like every thing else in Nigeria's legal profession, including appointment of judges. Even if you meet the laid down criteria, you'll not be appointed by the corrupt judges and lawyers who constitute the Body of Benchers unless you've the right connections or you "do the needful" (ah, that phrase again! Though an Igbo man currently holds the record as the best ever student in the university of Ibadan with a cgpa of 7.0/7.0.

I ask you to go to outside the South west and South east and compare igbo to Yoruba students.

Must everything be turned into tribal ego/challenge.America i hail thee, with over 50 states.
A majority of Americans have one language they speak...English. Unlike us that speak English and change to our dialect when we meet someone from our place, Americans speak English all the time, with other Americans from their state. And majority of Americans are Christians too (One mjaor religion, not like the case of Nigeria with two major religions). This helps a lot. We, we have Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa, Fulani. Efik, Ibibibio, Esan, Binin, Tiv, Ijaw, Urhobo...the list is endless. When people speak DIFFERENT languages they see themselves as different, and in most cases, competition of who is the better people creeps in.
