This viral video of a security man in Kebbi physically stopping Judge Elizabeth Asabe Karatu from delivering judgment in her court is both a synecdoche and a cruder, more in-your-face version of how Buhari manipulates and intimidates the judiciary.

Remember how he illegally removed CJN Walter Onnoghen because he feared that he would overturn an election he preplanned to rig, which he did finally rig? Remember the unprecedentedly illegal nocturnal raid on the homes of judges that honchos of the regime feared were a stumbling block to Buhari's tyranny?

Even the president of the Nigerian Bar Association said a few days ago that judges are now scared of delivering judgments that don't favor the Buhari regime. Democracy is now dead and buried. There's only one estate of the realm now: the inept, tyrannical executive estate Buhari pretends to head.

One policeman is blocking judgement, and you believe this? I'm certain the losing side's lawyers can't be so incompetent and if they are incompetent, their clients should consider suing them for professional incompetence. And that's if a policeman can lay the law down to a judge in a court!
