One of the biggest funding institutions in the World brought out an advert some months ago to build one of the most sophisticated laboratories in a third world country and the final interview was left between Kenya, Ghana and Nigeria.

Kenya having a lot of fund already was easily ruled out and left with Nigeria and Ghana. The head of the team representing Nigeria broke the sad news that the Ghanaian were awarded the contract just because they couldn't defend the last question they were asked.

What's the question?

One of the Professors asked the team, but Nigeria is not safe, herdsmen are all around in Lagos where you are proposing, our representatives would be scared of coming down to Lagos.

All effort to prove to the panel was abortive, to the team, the news Nigerians put out was enough for them to judge how safe Lagos is.

It is this same problem that made Nigeria lost to Kenya, Ghana and one other country for securing the location for the field trial of the most recent vaccine for malaria.

One of the foremost WHO vaccination experts said he kept pushing the committee when they met in Geneva with statistics that Nigeria has the highest number of malaria case incidence so should be the first priority, but they replied, the country isn't safe and that's how we lost.

While the pessimists and haters of the present government are the major culprit in this show of shame, we must acknowledge that the PR of the present government is nothing to go home about. Apart from the few warriors online doing a great job, the government has failed to project itself very well in the eyes of the world.

The waling team are irredeemable, the government of the day is a sorry case when PR is the issue.

If PMB should reappoint his old media team again, am sorry it's a sign that he wish not to progress.

you mean its this group that prevented the president from reining in on the herdsmen when they initially started misbehaving.
this same group also asked the FG to release Boko Haram members in detention,pay BH ransome and even integrated some into the security architecture thereby compromising military intelligence,refused to change service chiefs,etc.
do you know that it is this present government that invited fulani from all over the sahel into Nigeria because their person is the president.(el rufai said this with his mouth).in your wisdom,all the killings,banditry,kidnapping etc should not be reported in this age of information?
the truth is the level of insecurity presently in Nigeria is under reported and the opposition is not even doing enough in terms of exposing this government incompetence compared to what APC did when they were in opposition.

Is Nigeria safe?
